Members Reviews:
Nutkin saved my life.
I don't know if you have read the tale of Squirrel Nutkin, but you should. It is the story of a spicy little squirrel with no respect for the owl. He just don't care, he don't care at all, and he ain't gonna bend over backwards for permissions, or pleasantries.
I collect older tales, so this fit well into my collection, but I will admit, I became aware of the tale while watching Orange is the New black. It is one of the books they have a memorial for after the books in the library had to be burned due to bed bugs. I bought it as a joke, but it is a cute little tale. The grammar in the book doesn't seem as though this was a print that was common in America, and the text in the book seems to vary. It is not printed well, but still cute to have around for a book lover like me.
Beatrix Potter's books are ALWAYS current and delightful for children.
Exactly what I expected from Beatrix Potter. I've read her books for more years than I care to admit. Her books are ALWAYS entertaining. As a
child I loved them; as an adult they were read to my children; as a Gram they were read to my Grandchildren, as a Great Gram I hope to read them to my Great Grands. They are never fail entertainment! Young or Old, always worthwhile.
Five Stars
