In part three of this three-part series, Crystal Hickerson and I discuss something that I was unaware of until I stumbled across an article over the weekend.  Gay married couples are entitled to a $67m pot that allows for them to receive tax credits.  The couples who were legally married in their states, but unable to file as a married couple on federal tax returns has some cash coming their way.  

What does this mean for others (I'm talking about black people here!) who have been waiting for "credits" for what they've suffered from at the hands of the U.S.?

In part three of this three-part series, Crystal Hickerson, Buck and I discuss why Hollywood doesn't see anything wrong with taking a character that is traditionally of one race and changing them to another race.  For example: The Little Mermaid is now black instead of white.  The character, Bane, from the "Dark Knight" movie is white instead of Latino.  I give numerous examples of this in the podcast.

In part one of this three-part series, Crystal Hickerson and I discuss a situation brewing in my home state of Mississippi.  A candidate for governor named Robert Foster refused to allow a female journalist to accompany him on a campaign trip without a male counterpart.  He said that he's a married man and wouldn't be comfortable in traveling alone with a woman without his wife being present.

He has been accused of being sexist for seeing the journalist as a woman first and a professional second.  Was he simply trying to protect himself from a potential scandal or did he go too far in relegating her to a thirsty woman looking to disrupt his home life and career?

Growing up without a model for mainstream success, Tommie Mabry turned to crime and the street for his examples of living.  He was expelled from multiple schools before the age of 12.  He was getting his first tattoos and serving jail time by the age of 12.
