We recorded this on 15 July on the eve of the new season with the Championship League.
Jackson is still only 19 despite seeming to have been around for a lot longer, his potential is clear having been involved in a number of deciding frames and taking notable scalps such as Lisowski, Perry, Dott etc. He is practicing a lot with Mark Williams and Lee Walker and played Ryan Day earlier in the day, a dress rehearsal for the for their Championship League clash.

It was great talking to Clive. His knowledge, thoughts, candour and vast experience of 50 years editing Snooker Scene and going from player to broadcaster to writer make him somebody to listen to.
He is a prolific writer and he mentions his interesting snooker books still available online, “Black Farce and Cueball Wizards” as well as his biography of Ronnie O’Sullivan.

Meeting Gary Wilson was cool. He really wasn't a Terror after all.
He has had a year that in many ways is to be forgotten and his struggles with depression are well documented. He touches upon this here and also talks about his hopes for the future image of the sport. A big shout out to Josh McClaren, son of former England manager Steve for the support that he has given in some of the darker times.
Maybe you'll hear the cameo at the end from my daughter, off camera she showed Gary the swimming certificates she'd just gained!

This episode was recorded in two parts and put together on 17 Jun 21. Joe 'The Gentleman' Perry was a good accomodating and interesting guest and spoke honestly on a number of subjects around the sport. How it's the toughest from a mental point of view and unforgiving, he also looked back fondly at his Crucible debut against Steve Davis.

Wrighto74 met with Oliver Lines to talk about his career, family, the pandemic, practice, confidence, aspirations and the future of the sport. He counts the World number one, Judd Trump as a good mate and confesses to not enjoying playing against his father, Peter Lines. It was a good talk and he is a top fella.
