Where have we been?  What have we been up to?  How have we been doing? All will be unveiled in this episode of The Tall & The Short of It.

We realize we have been MIA.  We are SO SORRY!  But, I feel like we have a good excuse.  School started, and getting into that new rhythm is always interesting.

A side note is a brief episode from one of us.  We are either sharing a random thought, or posing a question TO YOU!

In this side note, I (Amber) pose a question about communicating expectations.  I would love to hear what you think about this topic. 

Maybe you've seen the reel on IG, maybe you haven't.  But when we saw it last year, we knew we had to recreate it because it is so true.  Gary is VERY MUCH SO the crazy one in the relationship, and I am the boring one (altho, I'd rather think of it as the chill one).  

Regardless - they say opposites attract right?  I'd like to think we balance each other out pretty well.  

When you first start dating, you have this image in your head about how you think things will progress.  Then you start thinking about marriage, and you continue to imagine life with this person forever. 

Well, I'm here to tell you... don't get caught up in that.  Because it may end up being so different from what you expect!

Last weekend was a BUSY one for us.  Holiday weekends may give you an extra day to get things done, but when it's filled with family who don't know how to plan things out, it can make it more difficult to get things done.  

In this weeks episode, we catch you up on all the things that went down.

We don't make this stuff up guys.  We really don't agree on a lot of topics.  

While we do agree that taking care of yourself is important, we just do not agree on how working out helps you get over whatever emotion you walked into the gym with.  Gary uses working out as a form of therapy.  I, on the other hand, still come back from working out with the same "demons" that I went in with. 

And then somehow we transition this conversation to talk about our love languages and it's easy for us to display our love through our own love language, but we both agree that we have to work at understanding the other person and showing love in that way.
