Deus Ex is still on the agenda this week as Brian leads off Under Your Thumb. You may notice someone is missing, however. Gary seems to be down in the land of Nashville, and because he decided to step out he has to enjoy his time there with a broken foot. His loss. Anyway, Brian also talks about the Battlefield 1 beta. Can it rope-in a non-first-person shooter fan? With Gary out you may notice Stephen has returned, and returned with his usual log of great games, as always. He plays two rom-hacks, Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country 4, both for the NES. He also tried two unreleased games, Infinity for the GBC and Floracy. Justin then tells us more about his Pokemon Yellow adventure. He's making a valiant effort. Then both Anthony and Justin round out Under Your Thumb with Fallout 4 DLC.

Looks like we're not quite over the space games at the moment. Anthony opens with a fine space simulator know as the Kerbal Space Program. No one seems to get it, but it's okay. Nothing could be worse than... well, you know. Regardless, Justin is taking advantage of that "games with gold" and stepping past and into Beyond Good And Evil. He also updates us on his Pokemon Yellow experience of trying to catch them all. Plenty of Zubats. Brian's last and talks about the game Tricky Towers on the PS4. Yet, the game everyone is waiting to talk about is Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
For news we get a PlayStation price increase, Dark Souls 3 DLC, Playstation Now coming to the PC along with a DualShock 4 USB adapter, and more.

Buckle up. We can safely say this week that the verdict is in on No Man's Sky. There is a lot to say about it, and you can bet it's good. What doesn't need to be said is that there's STILL a lot of talk about when it comes to Overwatch. The upcoming update sparks a discussion of how it will change the game going forward. Besides those two (now) staples, Gary and Justin step into their time machine and visit an era when wrestling games were a thing, and attempt to capture some of that nostalgia and bring it to their other game this week: WWE 2016. It's no WrestleMania 2000. Then again, what is? Finally, Brian closes it out with the indie title Abzu. If you like Journey you may like this title.
The Drunken News is, well, still drunken. We mull over the Final Fantasy XV delay embarrassment, NX may be getting some Kingdom Hearts 3, and Metal Gear Survive is weaved into Gamescom 2016 news.

In what is the shortest (and some might say "tightest") episode we've done, Under Your Thumb gets a bit disorganized this week. Partly due to the fact that No Man's Sky is on the agenda. But before that begins Gary updates us on Until Dawn. Spoiler Alert: Jessica is still alive. Gary and Justin have some theories on why that may be, though I can't say if they were any good.
The Drunken News turns in to "in other news" this week. It really keeps Justin on his toes. Then again, who doesn't want to hear about Patent Applications and games maybe coming to a system that the company has never put a game on? It's all there for you.

I suppose it goes without saying, but the gang starts with Overwatch. Partly because there were new additions to the game. Gary leads that discussion and makes sure to keep everyone on point. It seems simple, but it's really not. He also has the book, I mean movie, wait, sorry, the game, Batman, by TellTale. Brian joins the fray on that one, and I'd say it's mostly positive. Gary continues with the Xbox Gold game, Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate. The title ultimately slips his mind. He finally wraps up with more unsettling Until Dawn. Justin's up next and has finally made it to level 70 in Fallout 4. But more importantly he finally beat Inside. And even more importantly he has finally decided to "catch them all" in Pokemon Yellow. Can't wait for the updates... Anthony just has brief updates on his games, but lets us know that he has started Inside, too. Lastly, wrapping up Under Your Thumb this week, Brian shares more thoughts on Starfox Zero. It isn't pretty, then again, neither is the game.
In the drunken news, nobody holds back. We've got Pokemon Go updates that have gone awry, game developers going bankrupt (and not just creatively), a dream NX lineup (more than likely an actual dream), the VITA gets cracked (to the sound of crickets), and a whole list of Overwatch updates.

There is no stopping this Overwatch train, but the guys keep it brief this week. Well, they try, anyway. Gary gets himself an alpha code to We Happy Few, a game he struggled to attempt to play at PAX East this year. Seems they were always "at capacity". Brian also had a chance to play it. Was it worth all the anguish of not being able to play it at PAX? Anthony finally makes it to the end of Witcher 3, throwing everyone for a loop. That and his "Speedrun" of the game making his way through a New Game Plus. Then, ugh, Fallout 4's new DLC, which Justin jumps in to talk about. As you know we're all excited to hear about... or we're just as bored as you. But if you can make it through the Fallout 4 DLC talk you'll find that Anthony has another game that was also at PAX East, MoonHunters. A game we all got a chance to play and one that I recall 'God Mic' using and mastering the most advanced character. Brian finishes up Song of the Deep and found it unexpected. Something about liking to die. What was really unexpected was that Brian played StarFox Zero. Does he change his tune? Who knows? But all that came out of it was some controversy at the end of that conversation. Feel free to weigh in.
In the news, we've got Microsoft's counting problem, NX leaks, investors oblivious to who owns Pokemon, and just more drunken debauchery with a listener question.
The Drunken Show Notes:
Honestly, honesty, it's important. Maybe the most important of all things. And here on The Tangent, integrity is valued. So, naturally, we begin with Justin. Some Overwatch, and as you may expect by now, Fallout 4. But really not much else. Brian's up next and continues some Overwatch and discusses some of its major bugs, then moves on to Tumblestone and Song of the Deep. Anthony's still chipping away at Witcher 3, but his true game of the week? Monster Hunter Generations. Surprised? Hardly. Lastly, Gary. He's got an update on his Pokemon Go week and a nostalgic pick, Earthworm Jim HD.
The Drunken Show Notes:
Well, I'll just get the big game of the week out of the way. Pokemon Go. We we're all in the thick of it (even during the podcast) and have a lot to say about the game how it's taken the world by storm. But don't worry, we still have a few other games to talk about before we get into Pokemon Go. Justin's got Inside and Overwatch. Anthony's still playing Witcher 3 and gave Song of the Deep a shot. And Gary, surprise, surprise, has played more Overwatch. A game that has caught him by surprise.
The Drunken Show Notes:
Bouncing back after the 4th is never easy, but we manage to handle it. Gary leads off and leads off strong with Inside. According to him, it has an ending that is "off the rails". He finds it hard to go back to Limbo now, which he also tried playing again this week. Overwatch is still on his plate too, and he's having a great time with competitive mode. Anthony's up and he's still making his way through Witcher 3. Plus, he grabs the free game Furi this month from PSN. Brian also chimes in to add that it's a Hack n' Slash with Punch-Out-like puzzle fighter. Whatever that means. With that Brian is still playing Doom. He fought a boss. We round out Under Your Thumb this week with Pokemon Go. The talk of the town this week, and with good reason. If the severs stay up...
We had a light news week, so we decided to have a bit of a topic discussion: Games that passed us by.
The Drunken Show Notes:
It's America's Independence Day (or Earth's since 1996) and there is no better way to spend it then to listen to this week's Tangent. Like any good celebration there are also a few surprises...
First off, Gary heads back to Halo 5 to check out the Warzone Firefight mode, yet he can't find his 'BR'. Overwatch competitive play is now on the Xbox One, so he also takes a look at that. He finds himself really appreciating playing offense and defense in the same match. He also found the time to Stick of Truth and was surprised at the hardcore RPG elements that are present in the game. Gary's final game is the Limbo sequel, Inside. Brian jumps in on the discussion, and they both agree it would be the perfect "Justin Game". Brian's still on a Doom kick and he's in Hell. Calls it "fun", and was surprised to find it littered with Demons. Who would have guessed? Next up is Anthony, and he's got more Witcher 3. He's level 14 and looking for the Bard. Can't say I understand what that means, I'll assume it's good. He also checked out the Monster Hunter Demo where there was something about mounting monsters that Justin couldn't handle. Speaking of Justin, he basically played nothing. He blew an Overwatch match for his team and he's back in a Fallout kick. We're all overjoyed for that.
For the news: we've got nurf's in Overwatch on the consoles, games for PS2 that can't be seen, Nintendo hush, hush on the NX, and a listener question.
