Continuing our 2025 NBA Draft preseason scouting preview series, we take a look at one of the top contenders for the #2 pick, and potentially challenging for #1, in Airious "Ace" Bailey. Known for his scoring prowess on the wing, Ace brings a lot to the table. We break down his strengths and areas of improvement, and determine just how much he can challenge for that top pick crown. 

Rather than our normal pairings format, we decided to do a deeper dive and focus on a solo prospect, especially with how difficult it is to scout high school prospects. We enjoyed the deep dive early scouting, and the even deeper dive conversation.

In the first episode back, we go back to our roots and go over the University of Connecticut championship pick and roll duo of Stephon Castle and Donovan Clingan, drafted fourth to the Spurs and seventh to Trailblazers, respectively in the NBA draft. We go over their strengths and weaknesses, as well as forecast some player comparisons and top end outcomes. What makes this analysis unique is that we actually have summer league stats and footage to see how they improved in the offseason and how they stack up against some near-NBA competition.

Finally, our first and final mock draft episode of this draft season. This episode is the full recording of our podcast, where, in one take with no breaks and no snacks, we go over our picks for all 30 teams in order in the 2024 NBA Draft. Jeff starts off with the first overall pick and drafted for all the odd teams, and Noah drafted for all of the even teams, including drafting for his beloved Celtics. 

We ambitiously set the over/under to 10.5 for getting at least the player draft order (not necessarily in their exact NBA team pairings) correct. One of us is painfully optimistic, and the other is more realistic. 

Join us for our favorite episode to record this season, and enjoy what hopefully sounds like our highest level sound quality to date.
