The TDU Podcast

In November TDU/TU had their Convention. They made an endorsement for General President but was it a mistake?

In their infinite wisdom TDU decides to help Teamsters Local 89 (yes that local 89) by burying an article on it’s website telling an employer who is fighting Teamsters Local 89 that TDU is going help the employer in this union busting campaign. Of course this is after TDU has been helping employers in organizing campaigns for decades. At least this time they admit it.

The irony here is obvious. TDU’s National candidate Fred Zuckerman is being undercut by an anti-Union employer telling its employees to read TDU. This also happens all time but for locals other than Teamsters Local 89 an apology never comes.

This short episode focuses on TDU’s response to an Anti-Union employer promoting TDU to its employees.

This is a podcast about the PAC Teamsters for a Democratic Union and their relationship to the Teamsters Union. Sean O'Brien and Fred Zuckerman announce their candidacy for President and General Secretary-Treasurer for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters election in ... wait for it ... 2021. In this episode of the TDU Show, I break down the announcement from OZ and TDU as the IBT General Election gets off to an early start. I also have the audio of the speech by Sean O'Brien railing TDU that got him suspended from office.

Episode 2 is finally out! In this episode I compare Teamsters for a Democratic Union to your average Teamsters Local Union. Guess who is more democratic, transparent, and responsive to Teamsters members? I also touch on Sean O'Brien's announcement which will be the entire subject of episode 3.

What is TDU? I try and answer that question as clearly and precisely as possible.

Just a brief introduction about the TDU Podcast and what's to come.
