In His loving care, God marks out a path for us to follow.

The seed he had planted in that special father-son moment had taken root.

It's easier to steer a moving ship than one that's sitting in the docks.  While ships are safe in the docks, that’s not what ships are made for.

Following God is not the “preset norm” for anyone. Before long, a heart not actively pursuing God will be completely swept along with the tide of culture.

Many of us want a relationship with Christ which makes us feel warm, safe, fuzzy, and secure, without requiring much real change on our part.

When an individual refuses to live by the moral code of the land, the next step is an attempt to remove that moral code.

Don’t fret about the future – trust that future to the One who controls it.

While there’s a duty involved with serving others, that’s not the only reason we’re to do so.

The command is for Christians to especially love other Christians in a Christ-like manner.

What was new in this final command was the heightened standard of love.
