Somewhere along the way the lines have been blurred and teachers were expected to "parent" their students. We believe this has backfired and now we need to find our way back and take this burden off the teachers' plates. Parents and teachers shouldn't be put in a position of opposition, but rather working together to do what is best for the kids.

Feeling qualified to do our jobs right now can feel hard. There is some opposition to educators and of course, state and district expectations that can never realistically be met. Today we talk about how your qualifications are far beyond just what you teach your students. 

As you make decisions for next year, ask yourself a few questions : Have you prayed about it? Are you and your spouse in unity with the decision? Is the change going to provide me what I am hoping for? We know you feel tired and are looking for hope, but the grass isn't always greener on the other side. 

As you head into Spring Break we hope that you will take the time to really rest. Physically, mentally, and spiritually. In today's episode we talk about what the word REST really means and how you can take the week to cease working. You need it. Your friends and family need it...and you will go back to work after Spring Break a better teacher for it.
