This question really set a theme for most of the live stream tonight, about doing your own "due diligence" and looking for reviews (good AND bad), and asking others for help in research. Whether it's a potential job like a data-entry position, or a company where you want full-time work, or even a school to learn about development. There are scams out there, certainly, but there are lots of good companies and schools doing this in a legitimate way. I can't help you research them all but I do offer some ideas here.
