Find the Light was born from a single Facebook status I made calling attention to the alarming number of students and alumni of the Fort Zumwalt School District that have taken their life or passed away from overdose. That status blossomed into a Facebook group that by that weekend had 1,000 members, and now sits comfortably above 3,600. We as a Foundation are dedicated to advocating on behalf of students and teachers for better mental health resources and programs inside of schools, as well as doing whatever we can to fight the growing trend of suicide and overdose in teens and young adults, specifically in schools. We hope to institute programs to foster mental health reform in schools, and change the national conversation on mental illness and drug addiction.

I have always been into alternative medicine and wanting to heal through plant food and also medicine, when needed. When i grew up in a town of 225 people, I knew I would move to St. Louis someday. I was a Speech Pathologist and always enjoyed helping people,
