Climate change is one of the most talked about issues right now; but it is still viewed merely as a scientific-cum-environmental phenomena. The humanitarian aspect of it is still under-represented. Climate refugees (people displaced from their homes due to climatological phenomena) have still not been recognised by the United Nations and are not guaranteed the rights that regular refugees have.

This episode explores the conditions of the climate disaster in the Sundarbans region of India and looks at the 4.37 million people it endangers and suggests policy proposals for the Indian Government.

Teenagers. What do we think of first when we hear that word?

We have often been stereotyped as the in betweens of kids and adults. Our responsibilities have been scattered over by what adults think of us and want us to do.

We see our parents talking in hushed voices in their bedroom, and we want to know what important issue they are talking about, but then we realise- we are not supposed to want to know

On social media like Instagram and Facebook, we see references to world issues. Be it about Afghanistan, Israel-Palestine, or India itself.

They are classified under the forbidden word.

Political.

But this is a safe place. A place where we teenagers, unite and go on a strike to overthrow world powers, as in our parents!

What we actually do in this podcast is that we sit, and we think. We think of all the issues concerning us and the world. Sometimes, we hold civil debates that slowly evolve into wanting to throw a chair across the room, but other times—we genuinely feel closer to the truth.
