Many people speculated on what the lights could be, from drones to possible aliens

Fascinating images are being shared showing a series of bright lights hovering over Texas, sparking rumors that it is a possible UFO.

The mysterious lights were seen in the sky, changing shape and position, in three different counties within an 80-mile radius.

Stargazers in and around Dallas shared the sightings after images of the strange presence over Duncanville, in the south of the city, were shared online.

A wave of witnesses claimed to have witnessed sightings from multiple sites , with some convinced that the lights were coming from visiting aliens.

“What I saw mesmerized me. I was visiting family for my grandmother's birthday and happened to look up.

I saw bright lights floating very slowly and that's when I knew it was something out of the ordinary, not scary, just crazy to look at.

I believe in aliens, so the first thing that came to mind was a UFO. As soon as I saw it, I was dazzled, it seemed so real.

I wouldn't mind if aliens came to visit us, but knowing us in the United States we will probably attack them first, ”said retail manager Javier Estrada III, as reflected in The Mirror.

In Javier's video, four lights are seen in the starry sky, changing from a kite-like formation to a square symbol, before separating and disappearing from view.

Sightings were reported in a total of eight different areas in and around the city, mainly to the south, and many described the lights forming a "straight line."

Spectators also reported the phenomenon in Allen, to the north of the city, and Granbury, to the southwest, which are separated by a distance that would take almost two hours to drive.

More than 16,000 people claimed to see the images, there were many suggestions as to what the lights could be.

Some suggested that the screen was caused by drones or Chinese lanterns, but no one dared to give an explanation of how they looked in such remote places.

Once again the investigations of UFO and alien experts has taken us to Latin America, where a strange glowing UFO was spotted and filmed in a forest in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Mexico, as you may recall, is one of the main hotspots for UFO sightings due to aliens utlizing the mountains and volcanoes there as hidden bases, according to experts.

One of the most prominent UFO and alien experts, Scott Waring, addressed this latest UFO sighting in Guadalajara on his website – a sighting that caused one viewer of the video to state, “This is another one of those ‘if that doesn’t convince you nothing will’ kind of sightings.”

The eyewitness and his family was visiting Hue Titan Canyon, a mountain forest in Guadalajara, Mexico.

The family noticed a strange shiny object in the trees moving around and changing shape.

It looks like an alien sphere that is exploring and analyzing the forest life.

Sanchez, who lives in New Mexico, recalled the event on Twitter. New Mexico is a hotbed for UFO activity, according to a June analysis from Satellite Internet.

The video appears to show a black, disc-like object hovering in the sky.

After sharing his latest clip to Instagram, the video was debunked by Scott Brando of ufoofinterest.org.

According to the popular hoax buster, the video has been making the rounds on the internet since 2012.

It appears to have been first uploaded to YouTube in November 2012 under the title Alien UFO Sighting 2012 Over Seattle, WA Craft Caught On Tape Today More Shocking Videos This Week.

The ufoofinterest.org Twitter account tweeted: "As usual, Tom Delonge published this verified fake on Instagram (my debunk: twitter.com/ufoofinterest/...) without any information.

The SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule that will carry four astronauts to the International Space Station this weekend has made it to the launch pad.

The capsule, named Resilience, and its SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket rolled out to Launch Pad 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida late Monday into early Tuesday (Nov. 9-10), NASA officials said.

The Falcon 9 is scheduled to launch Saturday evening (Nov. 14), sending four astronauts — NASA's Victor Glover, Mike Hopkins and Shannon Walker and Japan's Soichi Noguchi — to the orbiting lab on Crew-1, SpaceX's first operational astronaut mission for NASA.

NASA's Commercial Crew Program awarded SpaceX a $2.6 billion contract in 2014 to fly at least six operational crewed missions to the space station. The six-month-long Crew-1 is the first of those contracted flights, but it won't be SpaceX's first-ever astronaut mission. That distinction goes to Demo-2, a test flight that sent NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley to the station for two months this past summer.

More than half of all sunlike stars in the Milky Way may have a habitable planet

Our Milky Way galaxy abounds with potentially Earth-like planets, a new study suggests.

On average, each sunlike star in the Milky Way likely harbors between 0.4 and 0.9 rocky planets in its "habitable zone," the just-right range of orbital distances where liquid water could be stable on a world's surface, researchers have found.

"This is the first time that all of the pieces have been put together to provide a reliable measurement of the number of potentially habitable planets in the galaxy,” study co-author Jeff Coughlin, an exoplanet researcher at the SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) Institute in Mountain View, California, said in a statement.

About 7% of the Milky Way's 200 billion or so stars are "G dwarfs" like the sun, so that's a lot of possibly Earth-like real estate. That 7% is 17 Billion planets potential planets.

"This is the first time that all of the pieces have been put together to provide a reliable measurement of the number of potentially habitable planets in the galaxy,” study co-author Jeff Coughlin, an exoplanet researcher at the SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) Institute in Mountain View, California, said in a statement.

The latest prototype of Elon Musk's planned Mars rocket has been coming together at the SpaceX development facility in Boca Chica, Texas. SN8 looks more like an actual rocket than previous iterations, and it could be the first to make an actual high altitude flight, though Musk has been quick to lower expectations.

Previous versions have managed a few short "hops" of nearly 500 feet (150 meters) in altitude before making controlled landings not far from where they lifted off. Now Musk hopes to fly SN8 to over 9 miles (15 kilometers) high, but he also isn't guaranteeing it'll make it far off the launchpad.

"A RUD (rapid unscheduled disassembly, AKA an explosion) right off launchpad is also possible. Fortunately, SN9 is almost ready," Musk said in a tweet Saturday.

But again, Musk is by no means confident SN8 will stick its first landing attempt.

"If it fails right at the end, some landing pad repair will be needed to fill in the crater," the SpaceX founder tweeted.

Musk has said minor alterations will be made to each new prototype up through at least SN20.

Haley Pretzman, host of the Horror Comedy Potcast, which explores spooky experiences and sometimes UFOs, witnessed a UFO in Pueblo in 2017. “It was three lights, and they were in a line, equidistant to each other, and they were close, like four blocks away,” she explains. “It didn’t seem to be terribly far. We went towards it, and as we were getting closer it formed a triangle shape. At this point I pulled out my phone, to take pictures of it, and as I was watching it, it started to glow. There were all these little lights and colors and they were twinkling, and it didn’t look like anything… there’s nothing I could compare it to.”

“In the center of this triangle, it almost looked like a galaxy,” continues Pretzman. “Just like that the lights dimmed and it was a plane, like a jet or something. It was very small, not a plane like I have ever seen before, and then it zoomed away. It was gone in like six seconds. It was gone super fast.”

On March 25, Brian Eastin, a fixture in the local music scene who passed away unexpectedly in May, witnessed strange objects in the skies over Colorado Springs. “I was driving up north on Academy [Boulevard] and Platte [Avenue],” he said during an interview after his sighting. “It was dusk and I looked left, over the town, and I noticed above the mountains I saw what I thought were like, tower lights at first.

What I remember really seeing in detail is something between 15 to 20 objects that ranged in color from gray to some of them had like blinking white lights and what I thought were red lights — that’s why I thought they might have been tower lights — and they were moving in a frenetic, almost figure eight, like a pair of binoculars. There was some order to it, but then there was some frenetic-like swarm activity to a few of them. It was like a video game in the air. Then all of a sudden the figure eight flattened out and then they shot ridiculously fast directly over me, out east, and were gone. I’d say that whole thing lasted maybe 12, 15 seconds.”

A report from Dec. 31, 2019, obtained via a Freedom of Information Act request by Douglas D. Johnson, a volunteer researcher affiliated with the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies and published by aviation blog The War Zone, read, “Chase County, Nebraska sheriff’s deputy reported observing 30 to 50 [drones] flying independently of each other with a larger ‘mothership’ hovering for hours. The deputy stated the larger drone appeared to be way over 55 pounds. All at one time the smaller drones returned to the larger drone and departed the area to the west.”

SpaceX could use its Starship vehicles to clear out space debris in Earth orbit, alongside the program’s more publicized purpose of ferrying people and cargo to the moon and Mars, a company executive said.

The Starship is the upper stage of a giant new rocket SpaceX is developing to boost more than 100 metric tons, or more than 220,000 pounds, of payloads into low Earth orbit. With in-orbit refueling, the Starship’s methane-fed engines could propel more than 100 metric tons of cargo to the moon, Mars, and other deep space destinations, according to SpaceX.

SpaceX is designing the Starship and its massive booster rocket — named the Super Heavy — to be fully reusable. Both vehicles will come back to Earth for vertical landings to be turned around for more missions.

“Not only will it decrease the costs of access to space, it’s the vehicle that would transport people from Earth to Mars,” Shotwell said in an interview with Time’s technology columnist Patrick Lucas Austin. “But it also has the capability of taking cargo and crew at the same time, and so it’s quite possible that we could leverage Starship to go to some of these dead rocket bodies — other people’s rocket’s, of course — basically pick up some of this junk in outer space.”

Astronomers are vetting a "shifting and stacking" technique that could aid the hunt for the putative world, which some researchers think lurks undiscovered in the far outer system, way beyond Pluto's orbit.

The technique has already been used to discover some moons in our solar system, and it could potentially spot Planet Nine — also known as Planet X, Giant Planet Five or Planet Next — and other extremely farflung objects, researchers said.

"You really can’t see them without using this kind of method," Malena Rice, an astronomy Ph.D. student at Yale University in Connecticut, said in a statement. "If Planet Nine is out there, it’s going to be incredibly dim."

In a test, the researchers found the faint signals of three known trans-Neptunian objects (TNOs) — small bodies that circle the sun beyond Neptune's orbit — in shifted and stacked TESS images. The scientists then conducted a blind search of two distant patches of sky, turning up 17 new TNO candidates.

"If even one of these candidate objects is real, it would help us to understand the dynamics of the outer solar system and the likely properties of Planet Nine," Rice said. "It’s compelling new information."

Longtime pilot photographs mysterious orange orb in daytime sky over NC mountains

As a 45-year pilot, Charles Cobb had never seen anything like the orange-tinged orb high in the North Carolina mountains sky on a sunny late morning in June.

The object was round and irregular, he said, and it would suddenly plummet tens of thousands of feet before soaring right back up, he said.

Cobb, an 88-year-old Korean War combat veteran, spotted the mysterious object while sitting at Silver Creek Airport in Morganton, where he visits each day to check on the 1940 Piper Cub he keeps in a hangar.

Cobb said he finally pulled out his iPad and took photos of the flying object and its “opaque” center. It was 11:18 a.m. June 12.

“It was hard to tell the size,” he said, although he distinctly recalled the craft dropping at times to maybe 15,000 feet before shooting back up to at least 30,000 feet.

“The fact that it could zoom up almost out of sight” made this no ordinary object, he’s convinced.

The craft also was “flying parallel” during the 15 to 20 minutes he watched it, he said, so it couldn’t have been a comet.

“Comets come toward you,” he said. This object “always pointed north.”

Mysterious lights flying across the night sky over the weekend baffled Hawaii residents.

While social media was abuzz with speculation of UFOs, scientists think they know what’s responsible.

Kuuipo Kanawaliwali captured video of the lights as they passed under the moon on Saturday night.

“I started videotaping and when they got closer,” Kanawaliwali told KHON, “I start freaking out because I’m like, ‘Oh, what in the world is this?’”

Sheri English also captured video of the lights as they sailed overhead.

“We didn’t know what it was, where it came from,” English told KHON. “It just appeared. It was actually (a) very eerie, eerie feeling.”

John O’Meara, the chief scientist at W.M. Keck Observatory in Hawaii, says the lights were from a Chinese rocket booster used to launch a Venezuelan communications satellite in 2008, Maui Now reported.

“That booster has been orbiting around the Earth, but its orbit has been decaying and eventually decayed enough to get slowed down by the atmosphere and reentered in over the Pacific,” O’Meara told the news outlet. “Space junk falls in all the time. Usually it doesn’t make such a great light show, but in this case we were lucky.”

‘Strange’ UFO spotted at Southend

An unidentified flying object (UFO) over Southend left the man who spotted it feeling ‘very strange’.

The man, an elderly Southend resident, said the sighting from Kiel on October 13 was not prolonged and the apparent movement of the phenomenon couldn’t confirm whether it was several lighted objects or just one object with multiple lights.

He added: ‘We were watching seals on Kiel beach when suddenly I noticed a line of lights, low down but very intense. I’m not particularly a believer in [extra-terrestrial] UFOs but watching those lights made me feel very strange.’
