Once more into the breach!
The third installment of the Temple of the Blind sees the new group (including the 2 we got to know so well in book 1) making their way back into the labyrinth of tunnels underground. This book returns to more of an action feel, like book 1, and less of 'more backstory' than book 2 - although if you read book 2 then you WILL understand a lot more about book 3 (and book 4 etc. etc.). These books are really not standalone novels as without reading previous volumes, it's hard to play catch up. I have really been enjoying the ride so far but once again I'd have to urge the author to put this out as a compilation to bring in more readers. As a 'full book' - or at least a collection - this would make so much more sense. All in all a fun and creepy series.
I'm speechless
Have I mentioned how obsessed I am with Brian Harmon's writing now? I started off with Rushed and then investigated the Temple of the Blind series, and all I can say is that my feet hurt. Why? Because I carry my Kindle Fire with me wherever I go, and I can't look away from the words at ALL, I stumble through the house, unable to tear myself away enough to walk from room to room without stubbing my toes and stepping on stuff! But seriously, these books go right from one into the next without making you feel like you've missed something, it honestly could have been all written in one book. Your life will never be the same after reading this series.
Stephen King and Dean Koontz Hybrid
The first I read The Box from Kindle free books, I was instantly hooked. The character development was excellent and the writer did a great job spinning the tale of Albert and Brandy's adventure within the Temple of the Blind. The third instalment picks up where we left off on the first book (the second book was set at a different place, not necessarily connected to the storyline on the third book but it does have something to do with this third book.)
Brian Harmon created characters that are not perfect yet they seem to grow along with the story. If I were to describe his writing style, it would be the perfect blend between Stephen King and Dean Koontz.
WOWZA!
Brian Harmon is a very good author! Where he comes up with the very unique things that happen in his books, I sure don't know!! All I know is that I really like is style, his imagination and the weird plot twists in his stories! I am 64 years old so he isn't just for young readers.
