Weekend Update gets a lot of attention this week. It was the longest segment in over ten seasons and featured Mikey Day and Marcello Hernández as Link and Jason, Kam Patterson talking about the Glee reboot, and Sarah Sherman as matchmaker Debbie Mush. We also preview Shane Gillis hosting next week.

We begin with the changes since last season: Bowen Yang and Chloe Fineman have left, along with writer Martin Herlihy. Grace Reiter and Saidah Belo-Osagie join as featured players.

Then we go sketch by sketch, from the Mamdani and Trump cold open through "High School Musical," "Dream Academy Season 2," Weekend Update, and the back half of the show. We also look at the cut-for-time sketch "Young Rell's Crew" and ask how well Brunson held up as a host. Brad, Nate, and Ben break down the April 11, 2026, episode of Saturday Night Live (the 1,005th episode in the show's history) featuring a first-time host who brought a rare blend of charm, confidence, and serious theatrical chops to the stage.

The show goes sketch-by-sketch through the night, from a cold open that put Colin Jost's Pete Hegseth back on the phone with Trump (and in some very precarious territory) to a PBS host who had some genuinely jaw-dropping things to tell us about fire being his niece. We also saw a funeral full of pimps, and the 10-to-1 slot produced one of the weirdest sketches in a while with a half-frog/half-Sarah Sherman.

Saturday Night Live has made its way across the pond, and the Ten to One is here for it. Fifty years after Lorne Michaels launched the original in Studio 8H, the very first episode of Saturday Night Live UK aired live from Television Centre in London, and Nate, Brad, and Ben share their thoughts.

SNL legend Tina Fey stepped in as the inaugural host. The episode introduced us to an entirely new cast of eleven British comedians, with a few of them making quite the first impression.

We break down every sketch in order, from the skincare ad that would never make it past NBC censors, to a David Attenborough dream dinner party packed with British icons, to a Hamnet parody featuring a Gen Z Shakespeare with a very distinctive earring. We also cover Weekend Update — where new anchors Ania Magliano and Paddy Young made their debut — including a visit from the only British naval officer currently deployed in Iran: Captain Birdseye. And then the whole episode ended with George Fouracres asking an extremely important question at high speed for 45 seconds. It made very little sense. It was very funny. Don't miss it.
