Remember the good ol’ days when Rick Perry’s #1 message was “Texas is better than California”.

Well today, in the middle of this crisis, that contrast is becoming less stark. Now, that in now way implies that we are the same as California, but the direction Greg Abbott is taking us has more similarities with California than differences. The Republican identity crisis continues and it’s hurting our state and nation.
