A New Year's resolution is a tradition in our society where people are motivated to change an undesired trait or behavior, accomplish a personal goal, or improve their life in some way at the start of a new year. In this session, we discuss setting new goals (both individually & in relationship) and how to track progression. Some goals are micro and some are macro, but communication can be the key to staying the course.
I swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and everything I believe to be the truth ... "cause I keeps it REAL!" In this session, we examine honesty in a relationship and the value of truth. Is honesty always necessary? The answer would have to be "Yes," if honesty is "always the best policy." Are honesty and truth the same thing? Click play for good laughs and great conversation on the "truth of the matter."
Communicating within a relationship can be challenging on a "normal" or routine basis. But this year, we've all had to deal with the obstacles brought about from the COVID-19 pandemic. Households are facing issues such as unemployment, child care, health care and so much more; while trying to maintain sanity. In this session, we examine the importance of true communication. The ability to listen and be heard can help diffuse stress in your relationship.
In this session we discuss the decisions behind expanding family. How do you know you're ready for children? What shaped your ideas on being a parent? What are some lessons learned from having children in your 20s and then in your 30s? Dr. Mary and Malcolm share some laughs, thoughts, and personal advice about parenting and blending families.
Up late one night, we decided to discuss the idea of soulmates. Tune in for a mini session and consider your own thoughts on the concept of soulmates.
The roles of gender have shifted dramatically over the last 40 years. What is the Man's role? What's expected of him in a relationship? What is a woman's place? Are women meant to lead? We examine these questions along with discussing our thoughts on gender roles in today's society, expectations for our children, and being open to evolve.
