In this podcast, hands-down, the hosts' personal favourite, Martin and Noelle explore human biases, conditioned tendencies, and unconscious habits brought on by culture. Martin brilliantly walks us through archetypal decision-making and addiction, and we summarise with thinking models, WEIRD bias, and the economics of why we think the way we do.
Judgment is an inherent behaviour and manifests against all others that are not like us or choose to be like us. We judge to feel superior. What we judge is the inherent flaw. If all are equal in the eyes of each other then we must cease this judgement. A judgement that comes to us all In different ways. In race, in gender, in nationality, in sexual orientation. Discrimination is judgemental ignorance. If your life is shit then it’s your fault, stop seeking a negative perception of others to feel better about your own failings. Lewis’s Hamilton said it best. It’s no longer a time where only those being persecuted should speak up, we all need to speak, to admit, to discuss. We need to accept that this problem is shared by us all. It’s inside us all. We cannot let go of that we cannot see or accept. It’s time for change. This week Noelle and I discussed the why of negative isms (by definition any ism is an ideology) of racism, sexism and the PR spin dogma of society.
