Mascot Clause: If your brand on Youtube or Twitch has a certain type of pokemon involved, you MUST use it on your team of six. However we don’t want you to waste a spot on your six with something that has no use, so first stage evolution mascots can be evolved for the tournament. An example of this is if your profile picture or mascot has a jigglypuff, you can use a Wigglytuff instead. If you have a mascot clause, and want to take part in the Montreal Throwback or Sparkle Clause, an exception can be made but you must communicate this with Staff before the start of the tournament.
Tournament Sign Ups: Tournament sign-ups will be done via Silph.gg after the meta has been set and you have accepted your invitation.
In Tournament Rules: This tournament will be a Swiss Style Silph Tournament. After the tournament begins, everyone’s teams will be made public to the rest of the competitors. For each round, competitors will choose a team of 3 to use against their opponent among their team of six. Each round will be a best of 3 matchup with no requirement to play a third game once the round outcome has been decided. All players must record their battles to be able to dispute any lag.
Buy-Out Prizes: Winnings will be given out through Paypal or CashApp. While standard prizes will be given out to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, there are other ways to earn prizes throughout the tournament. These additional prizes can only be applied to the top 3 performers in the tournament once it concludes. All of the conditions below are OPTIONAL, unlike the Mascot Clause. They are explained below:
-KILLING A GIANT; This rule applies to the defeat of a highly ranked silph player. This applies specifically to _Arrohh, ShutupToshi9227, HouseStark93, ValorAsh, ThotechticalThis list can be updated. Killing a Giant prizes will be an additional $25 and can stack.
-MONTREAL THROWBACK; This rule is a special nod to my performance in the Safari Cup in Montreal. If a player makes one of the top 3 spots with a team with triple poisons, they will receive an additional $25. If they have a team of all 6 with poison typing, they’ll receive an extra $100.
-SPICY TEAMS; If a player achieves one of the top 3 spots in the tournament without using any of the top 41 pokemon, they’ll receive an extra $50. Very simple rule.
-SPARKLE SPARKLE; If a player achieves one of the top 3 spots in the tournament with a fully shiny team, they’ll receive an extra $25.
If you are bound by the Mascot Clause, you can still qualify for the Montreal Throwback and the Sparkle Sparkle clauses. Communication with KaiserNeiner is required before the tournament starts if this is the case.
