Episode 33 is around! I got to sit down with Eirik «Billy Messiah» Nordheim this weekend. Just two buddies and some beers led to a 3 hour + conversation about Billy’s journey. From the early beginnings of punk rock, through Mayhem and on. Take the time and dive into this talk about the life of the Messiah! Enjoy! Merch: morkisebakke.no/shop

Episode 32! This time I got to sit down with my friend, Sina Winter, the man behind the Iranian Black Metal band From The Vastland. Sina is also something of a moviestar, being a huge part of the «Blackhearts» documentary. Join us as he tells the fascinating story about his life, from being an enemy of the state of Iran to being able to live in Norway, all in the name of Black Metal. Enjoy! Merch: morkisebakke.no/shop

Number 31 is around! And this has to be the most special one to date! As I have been told that Snorre Ruch never has done an in depth or long form interview before. That makes this episode and my podcast earth-shattering and ground-breaking! Haha, overkill? I think not! It was a great experience to visit Snorre, to listen to unreleased gems of music and to get to know this important character and innovator of Black Metal and art in itself. Join Snorre Ruch, Marius Vold, Harald Eilertsen and myself on the journey through the history of THORNS! For the FIRST time EVER! Merch: morkisebakke.no/shop

Episode 30! This time I decided to do something new. I joined Marius Vold and Harald Eilertsen (both original Thorns members) as we journeyed far and beyond to visit the one and only Snorre Ruch (Thorns), this last weekend. When I say far and beyond, I mean it too. About 20 hours total by car during that weekend. So, I figured, what the hell.. let’s try to do a “on the road” episode, to fill the time. Join us as we talk randomly whilst traveling the dark backroads of Norway. Merch: morkisebakke.no/shop

Episode 29 is around! I had the pleasure of getting to know the Norwegian Psychedelic Black Metal artist Woe J. Reaper of FURZE, this week. He reached out to me in the weeks prior, and finally we got around to it. A truly special artist in his own right, and with a crazy but tragic story to tell. Interesting lesson in the history of FURZE, told by the man himself! Enjoy! Merch: morskisebakke.no/shop

Episode 28 is around! Part 2 and the closing chapter of the story of Steinar «Sverd» Johnsen.. for now, anyways. Sverd was and is part of the very beginnings of Norwegian Black Metal in every way. You know him best as original member of Mortem and Arcturus. Keyboard virtuoso and talented musician. And ofcourse a great guy. Funfact: Sverd’s recorded chats with yours truly happens to be the first ever for him! So that’s a real treat. We had another bash with his home brewed beer and the mic’s was on! Enjoy part two of the story of Sverd! Merch: morkisebakke.no/shop

It’s been a long time in hibernation, but then, now, it’s back! The podcast returns! Episode 27! As I have mentioned before, I really do enjoy doing these episodes. So, as long as it’s still fun, I’ll keep going. However, it will be at random times as schedules and opportunities allows it to happen. This last weekend I visited Steinar “Sverd” Johnsen (Arcturus and Mortem) at his private rehearsal room/studio, where we got to chat about his journey through music. Sverd was part of the early Oslo scene and created alot of the medieval gear seen in early BM photos. The conversation was crashed however when it turned into a good old party. So, this will be a two parter! I give you part one (the early years) of the story of Sverd! Enjoy! Merch: morkisebakke.no/shop

Episode nr 26 is around! The second and last part of my talk with Apollyon (Ole Jørgen Moe) of Aura Noir, Immortal and more. Since our chat went on for 4 plus hours, I had to make a two part thing. All great unfiltered stuff. Merch: morkisebakke.no/shop

Episode 25 came around! I was honored to have the great Apollyon (Ole Jørgen Moe) stop by for a party and a chat. And what a chat! Four hours plus into the mic’s. We had a good time with beers and Fernet Branca, which obviously made the time go by unnoticed. I will not rob you for anything, so I’ve decided to make this a two-part thing. This is filled with interesting stuff and stories! Part one is presented to you right now! Enjoy! Merch: morkisebakke.no/shop

Episode 24 is here! When visiting Bergen a few weeks ago, I primarily went there for one purpose; to get inked by the lovely Jannicke Wiese-Hansen. Not only is she a extremely talented tattoo-artist, but she did some of the most memorable cover arts in Black Metal history. Burzum’s debut and “Det Som En Gang Var” and Satyricon’s “Dark Medieval Times” to name a few. She also did the art for my own third album, “Eremittens Dal”, which see inked to my arm that weekend in Bergen. She runs her own tattoo studio, Nidhogg, at the famous Bergen docks. We had a really nice sit-down with Prosecco and microphones after the tattoo-session, enjoy! Merch: morkisebakke.com/shop
