 Introducing Ms Danielle Dunn who has brought accusations of the murder of her brother Jonathan Edward Lancaster who was housed in Alger Correctional Facility and placed in Adminastrative Seg. The torture and abuse that went on in that cell has been documented and followed through but now the State is saying they dont have enough money to press charges against the accused. And that is where it is sitting. So now Danielle came to the Thomas FreeMe show to bring awareness to her case by providing links for us the community to call and demand prosecution against the murderers and torturers of her brother. I brought in as a guest Mr Temujin Kensu. Since he is a perfect example of Michigans corruption being that he has been incarcerated as an innocent man for 37 years.

Jabe Carney is currently serving 25 years in Florida state prison for DUI manslaughter, among other less serious traffic and drug offenses, including 5 years for driving with a suspended license. The DUI accident happened on Super Bowl Sunday, 2006, and the victim, Jason Gibson, was Jabe's friend. Jabe's current release date is in 2027.

Jabe filed for clemency in 2019. But the Clemency Board has yet to make a decision in his case. The victim's sisters, Katherine and Danyel, have forgiven Jabe for their brother's death and support his early release. But as it stands, their sentiments are being ignored; their pleas for mercy are falling on deaf ears.

In October of 2002 5 people were sitting in a comfort inn doing drugs when 3 people busted in and assaulted them. There were 3 males and 2 females. The females claimed to be raped and all of them claimed to have been beaten and robbed.

From there the story becomes a twisted entanglement of testimony from government witnesses and crooked detectives to bad defense attorneys, that ultimately ended Derrick Horne in the middle of this investigation and upon trial found guilty and sentenced to 97 years with no evidence linking him to the crime at all. 

  20 years later this young man now an adult and his children, adults, are all still trying to prove this man's innocence and bring him home to reassemble his life. 

   I start this episode with a conversation with Demel Dukes who happened to call in the midst of what was going on that day. While trying to connect with Curtis Davis to conduct the interview I did with him (https://anchor.fm/thethomasfreemepodcast/episodes/I-am-not-a-killer-The-story-of-an-innocent-man-by-the-name-of-Curtis-Davis-Jr-e1fe4oi) I ran across the issue I have heard from almost every family member of an incarcerated loved one.  The issues of communicating with them while in prison. Everything has been marketed to the family as a way to suck money out of those who are desperate. When we say that the Constitution is a racist document, this is in part of what that means. Not so much as the document itself but how white men in positions of power have opined on the meanings and twisted the narratives to fit into their agendas of control and power and most importantly protection of government over the people.

The case arose from a series of street improvements made by the city of Baltimore that required diverting several small streams. As a result, large quantities of dirt and sand were swept downstream into the harbor, causing problems for wharf owners, including John Barron, who depended on deep water to accommodate vessels.

His business damaged, Barron sued the city of Baltimore to compensate for his financial losses. Barron claimed that the city’s activities violated the Fifth Amendment takings clause—that is, the city’s development efforts effectively allowed it to take his property without just compensation. Barron sued for $20,000, but the county court awarded him only $4,500.
