In this episode, we dive into a very busy news cycle for the game since our last episode featuring details on a ton of fast approaching tournaments, results from a couple of the first State tournaments of the year and then a whole host of new spoilers from Roots 2. We even learned about some new product that will be offered at Nationals featuring the new Roots 2 cards. There's also some discussion on playgroup development, including plans to re-visit that topic on a future episode, that came from discussing an important update from the owner and creator of Redemption, Rob Anderson, regarding tournament hosting. 

In this podcast episode, Derek Tirado, joins us to share his journey of stepping back into the game after a hiatus, discussing the sense of community and family that the game fosters. The conversation touches on Derek's transition from owning Your Turn Games to starting a private investigation business, highlighting the unexpected turns and divine timing in his career path. This episode also features all the latest Redemption news and the return of Deck of the Week and Agur the Creator.

On this week's episode, we are joined by Justin Alstad to revisit the conversation started on our last episode. Justin brings a unique perspective as he has formerly been a member of the leadership team for the game, and is by all accounts, one of the most successful players in the history of the game. We drew from that experience and wisdom in this conversation as we discussed the complexities of card game rules and the distinction between misplays and game rule violations. We also touched on expectations moving forward and some potential ways to improve the current state of rulings and tournament procedures.
