We planned to cover Kevin Smith's Red State for this episode but streaming services let us down, so we opted instead to watch a VERY similar movie whether you want to believe us or not, 2015's western/horror mash-up BONE TOMAHAWK (it's nothing like Red State)! Does the meshing of these two very different genres work to this movie's benefit or does it come off a bit unbalanced? Is there a reason for yet another "cowboys vs. indians" movie as recent as 2015? Is there a scene that depicts a guy getting tomahawked from his nether regions to his head and being split in half? The answer to that last one is "yes" btw. Pretty wild.

A secret Lovecraft-inspired story featuring the Old One himself, Cthulu, and all his little human fish boys. Did this movie pull off the “fear of the unknown” one would expect from a Lovecraft story or is this just another in a long line of sea-based trash garbage? We talk about all that and delve into the details that make a Lovecraftian tale actually “good”.
