A bit more about Jon:
In late 2020 I went through a horrendous breakup. This breakup, compounded with the weight of an unstable childhood, decades of poor decision-making, poor relationship choices and poor habits, left me obese, anxious, depressed and suicidal at the age of 34.

That was two years ago. Since then, I have turned my life around in every conceivable way and now coach others on how to step back from the path of negativity, poor health, hopelessness, worthlessness, fear and suicide.

It is now my life's mission to help folks out of the pit of suicidality, anxiety, depression, repression and denial and take back their lives.

Outside the Wire

A Novel of Murder Love and War

 Outside the Wire is a new thriller by Gary Edgington, a retired counter-terrorism task force commander. 

 About the author:

Gary Edgington is a 30-year law enforcement veteran and is the son of a law enforcement officer who was tragically murdered in the line of duty in 1979. This event occurred while he was in the third week of Sheriff’s Academy training. Gary subsequently graduated with his class and began his law enforcement career. 

Throughout his career, he has held assignments in counter-terrorism, major narcotics, intelligence, internal affairs, government corruption, uniformed field operations, and as a firearms and tactics instructor. As a California Department of Justice Special Agent, Gary served from 1999 to 2008 as a member of the Los Angeles FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force. After 9/11, he was promoted to Task Force Commander and took command of a multi-agency counter-terrorism task force based in Los Angeles. He has also served at the National Counter Terrorism Center in Virginia and has completed counter-terrorism training from other agencies, including the FBI, CIA, US Army, and DIA. 

In 2008, Gary deployed to Iraq as an embedded civilian anti-terrorism/organized crime advisor working counter-IED with the US Army, and also worked as a terrorism subject matter expert and analyst on the Guantanamo terrorist detainee cases. Additionally, he has served as a terrorism advisor and intelligence analyst with the Long Beach Police Department’s Office of Counterterrorism. Gary also held a staff assignment at US Special Operations Command in Tampa, Florida. 

Gary has been honored by California Attorney General, the US Attorney’s Office, and the FBI for his counter-terrorism and government corruption investigations. In addition, Gary has published three magazine articles for law enforcement and outdoor publications, and his feature script, the murder mystery “450 North Rexford,” was optioned by a Hollywood production company. 

Gary is currently working on the sequel to Outside the Wire and is married to TV executive Lisa Kridos.

The Tim Heale Podcasts S3 E156 Collin Hughes

There is a deadly predator lurking in the shadows. Beware of its chilling calls.

How do you stop a stealthy predator that no one sees coming? This predator does not distinguish between young or old, rich or poor, strong or weak, or by the color of one’s skin.  This predator goes after anyone who will listen to its message of death.

This predator weaves tales of falsehood deceiving its victims into believing that they are worthless and unable to love or be loved. This predator is one of the most cunning and ruthless serial killers ever to walk this earth.

He comes out of the darkness when we least expect him. He hides in the darkest thoughts of your mind. He is ready to pounce and take your life at any time. He knows your thoughts, feelings, and most secret impressions of your mind. And he knows how to use them against you.

He does not care about the broken hearts, the trauma, or the devastation left behind with the family and friends who love the victims taken by this predator. It cares for but only one thing. It simply wants to take your life.

The predator I speak of is suicide. Experts who have talked with potential victims that have survived and fought to stay alive have heard the testimony of how this predator works. A person about to take their own gets to the point that the predator takes over its victim’s mind taking away the ability to choose right from wrong. The victims become so angry and outraged that they see no choice but to take their own lives.

Victims who have escaped the death grip that the suicide predator remember little if anything about the events of the suicide attempt. So then, if this creature that is determined to end your life is so strong how can someone possibly win such a struggle? You must start early. The first time you have thoughts about ending your life, even if it is a seemingly passing thought, tell someone. Do not be afraid to tell your parents, a teacher, a counselor, a police officer, your best friend, a church leader, or even a stranger whom you are talking to at a store. TELL SOMEONE. Do not let that thought grow and fester until it consumes you.

You are worth living. You are loved. You are a worthwhile person. I beg you to think of the pain and heartbreak you will be leaving behind. Those people whom you feel do not care about you actually love you with all their hearts. If you do live in a home that is devoid of love, there are others who love your deeply. Do not demean yourself by thinking people do not care. My heart aches for anyone who has such desperate feelings.

You are loved. Stay alive and feel the love.

The Tim Heale Podcasts S3 E155 John Jarman

John Jarman is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served during Operation Desert Storm and holds a Master of Science in Physical Education/Athletic Administration from Ohio University. After coaching and teaching for 17 years, John transitioned to a career in the fitness industry.  John started his own company, Summit Strength & Conditioning, and was the owner and operator for seven years until the Covid-19 pandemic hit.  

Now, John is the Fitness Director at Fircrest Golf Club in Washington State, where he specializes in golf-specific training. He is also continuing in his pursuit of a Master of Theology at Faith International University, and is involved in Men’s Discipleship in his local church in Tacoma, Washington.
