A lone diver was attacked by a 2m long shark off the coast of Tasmania last week. It is believed the 31 year old man was bit by a long Broadnosed Sevengill Shark. Marine biologist and film-maker Sheree Marris has recently filmed this species and says they are often misunderstood.

A pumped hydro project which could power up to 120,000 homes has been approved for the upper hunter. The $1.8 billion Stratford pumped hydro and solar project will be on the site of a coal mining operation in the Gloucester valley that ended in 2024.
