Welcome to season 3! You may or may not be aware of this, but in the Spring of 2021 I announced that I would be laying the T'ingz Nice Podcast to rest. As you can now see... that was false news lol. I meant what I said at the time, but after several months of reflection, I have once again pivoted and made some modifications that will allow me to maintain my sanity, keep a well-balanced life, and produce quality content while having a good time!

Today… in this very moment, I should be on de road in New Kingston jammin’ on somebody’s man in a gorgeous costume. Instead, road march happening right here on my sofa in Connecticut. Steeeuups!

Carnival season is dearly missed. Under normal circumstances, a bulk of the Caribbean carnival community would have been back home recuperating from a vibe-filled Trinidad carnival experience. BUT...that’s not the case in 2021. Instead, the Trinidad borders remain closed (for good reason), and the best we can do is listen to new soca music, wine in our abodes and relive the precious memories. I'm so excited to be back in the T'ingz Nice recording studio! There have been so many upgrades to the brand over the past couple months, but I'm going to save all that juice for the second episode. 

We're going to focus our attention on mental and emotional health today with featured guest Daydream Alston, also known as Oyabunmi. Day is a visionary, creator, and devotee of the Ifa tradition. She is an author and founder of  her own publication company, and also hosts the YouTube series ‘My Orisha Journey’ in which she uses her voice to demystify the Ifa tradition. Lastly, she is a diviner who channels inspirational messages for her clients via tarot readings.

Day has three recommendations on how to step into 2021 as your best self and take better control of your life.
