The TLV Prompt with George K. Stein

In the premiere episode of The TLV Prompt, George K. Stein speaks with veteran ecosystem organizer Ofir Leitner, founder of the Israel Mobile Summit and Game Changer Tel Aviv. Ofir breaks down fifteen years of helming the Israel Mobile Summit and founding Game Changer Tel Aviv (focusing on GenAI and gaming, heading into its 3rd edition in 2027). He shares the raw operational realities of staging major events amidst wartime: weathering the 2024 summit where international attendance plunged from 4,500 to 20, navigating the October 2025 postponement following direct Iranian missile attacks while retaining 90-95% of sponsors, and steadfastly rejecting relocations to Cyprus or hybrid/Zoom models. Leitner unpacks why flight costs and personal safety - rather than board boycotts (under 5%) - drive cancellations, how GenAI is transforming monetization and asset production while leaving human B2B relationships untouched, and how Israeli tech is adapting to severe shekel-dollar currency squeezes and tech layoffs ahead of the next Israel Mobile Summit on October 29, 2026 at Expo Tel Aviv.
