This hour, we take your calls on a new development in Donald Trump’s hush money and falsified records case. Trump was granted a day off from the trial to attend his youngest son’s high school graduation. However, he is now scheduled to speak at a fundraiser on that day. Is he blowing off his son? Will this result in another fine for contempt of court? Only time will tell. 

Over the weekend, Netflix hosted a “roast” of former NFL quarterback Tom Brady. It essentially served as a front for off-color jokes of all kinds, including racism, sexual assault, and pedophilia. Most of the jokes weren’t even about Brady. However, another roast has been taking place over the last few weeks. South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has been promoting her new book, in which she brags about killing a puppy and other animals. Every time she’s questioned about these passages, she digs the hole even deeper. For today’s edition of What’s Worse, Todd asks us to choose between comedians pretending to roast Tom Brady and Kristi Noem roasting, well, Kristi Noem. 

To wrap up today’s show, Todd talks about Wisconsin’s recently adopted legislative maps, and the effects that we can already see on our political landscape.

On Protests And Responsible Journalism:

Protests over the war in Gaza have come to a head at UW Madison. Is it comparable to what’s happening at Columbia University, or is it being blown out of proportion on the news and social media? We welcome Pat Kreitlow of UpNorthNews Radio and Trygve Olson of The Lincoln Project to discuss their perspective on news coverage of protests. 

While Pat focuses on the journalism side, Trygve delves deeper into the politics of these protests. He and Todd believe that it is shortsighted to vote against “Genocide Joe.” If people believe that President Biden is mismanaging the situation, they should imagine what would happen with Trump in charge. Donald Trump has explicitly said he would encourage Russia to “do whatever the hell they want.” He would offer a blank check to Israel. Joe Biden is the only sane choice on this and many other issues.
