As the year draws to a close, Pastor Tolu Ayeni encouraged believers to prepare for the new year through prayerful reflection and surrender to God’s will. Rather than reviewing life through comparison, pressure, or personal ambition, we are encouraged to let God appraise our year and direct our future. Planning is presented as a spiritual act—one that must be led by God, not feelings, finances, connections, or human promises. True fulfilment, peace, and provision are found only in God’s plans. As we step into the new year, the call is clear: seek God first, trust His leading, and commit every plan to Him—because only what God builds will truly last. 

This episode reclaims the true meaning of Christmas—not as a commercial holiday, but as the celebration of God Himself taking on flesh to redeem humanity. We reflect on the birth of Jesus Christ as the only way to God, the source of true joy, peace, and salvation. Tracing redemption through both the Old and New Testaments, the message reveals Christ as our living Kinsman-Redeemer who paid the ultimate price to free us from sin, bondage, and fear. Because He lives, our redemption is complete, our salvation is secure, and our lives now belong to Him as God’s special people.

This episode teaches that the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable and can only be fully understood when the Old and New Testaments are read together. Tracing God’s plan from Israel to the Church, we see that believers are redeemed to serve as God’s royal priesthood—His representatives on the earth. As God’s dwelling place and ambassadors, our primary responsibility is watchful, persistent prayer. True prayer is not casual or convenient; it is earnest, sometimes burdensome, and often requires spiritual travail. Through prayer, God shares His burdens, advances His will, protects destinies, and brings salvation to lives and nations. The church is called to be a house of prayer, faithfully watching and praying until God’s purposes are fulfilled on the earth.

This episode explores the unchanging nature of God’s gifts and calling, revealing that God calls people out of darkness into purpose. Tracing Scripture from Genesis to the New Testament, we see that God’s eternal plan has always been to fill the earth with His people—those who reflect His image and carry His glory. Today, God is building a spiritual house, the Church, made up of believers from every nation. Our calling as kings and priests is fulfilled not through physical warfare, but through spiritual tools: preaching the gospel and fervent prayer. Prayer is the backbone of ministry, the means by which hearts are won, nations are transformed, and God’s will is established on the earth.  

In this episode, Pastor Tolu Ayeni explained that church is meant for deep, corrective, Scripture-based learning—just as Jesus taught, reshaping old beliefs with God’s true will. He made us understand the biblical pattern of calling: God brings us out of darkness and into a new vocation as His royal priesthood, saved not only from sin but into a life of preaching, serving, and reaching the lost. As kings and priests, our greatest responsibility is preaching and prayer—because God moves on the earth through what His people preach and pray. Where we cannot go, prayer goes. What we cannot do, prayer accomplishes. Prayer works.  

In this series, Pastor Tolu Ayeni explained the unchanging nature of God’s calling as revealed in Romans 11:29 and Hosea 11:1: God not only calls us out of something, but also into something. Salvation is more than deliverance from sin—it is an invitation into purpose, identity, and service as God’s royal priesthood (Exodus 19:3–6; 1 Peter 2:9; Revelation 1:4–6).  

He also explained the importance of sound, in-depth biblical teaching. Following the example of Paul in Acts 17:1-4, we will learn to reason through Scripture (Dialegomai), moving beyond surface understanding toward true persuasion. This episode demonstrates how to interpret the Bible faithfully through seven core principles: reading Scripture as connected texts, paying attention to grammar, studying original languages, tracing New Testament ideas back to the Old Testament, and learning how to rightly apply Scripture today.
