  • Community Schools: Parent Input, Community Services, and School Resources - The Torch Ep. 8

On this next episode of The Torch: A Podcast by Riverside County Office of Education, we bring on Amanda Wade to talk about Community Schools Partnership. As a Coordinator, Amanda is constantly looking for ways to improve the learning experience for our students across Riverside County with resources that will help students and their families thrive in their education.

The Riverside County Office of Education partnered with the Southern Inland Regional Technical Assistance Center to launch their community schools initiative in 2021. The initiative serves Riverside County school districts and their schools who had been approved for the California Community School Partnership Program (CCSPP) grant.
The transformative nature of the initiative has allowed the community to be strengthened by partnerships and evidence-based practices that provide for equitable and whole-child focused schools and instruction. Communities are positively impacted by the collaboration between leadership and community organizations that provide supports and services for students, families, and communities.
