Building is an inevitable endeavour that every man undertakes, especially as the new year beckons. These three keys would help in ensuring you build well as a man in 2025. 

In recent times many men have been overwhelmed and pressured by the societal demands which has made them to conform to what they know was against their wish and core values.

In this episode, Itofa shared his story about how he was able to start his non-profit organisation at a younger age snd not conform to the pressure and sterotypes that was prevalent at that time. He also discussed how he was resilient and determined in the face of hardship and criticism.

Itofa Ivarah is a development consultant, and a founder of two Nonprofits in Nigeria; Church on The Street & My9ja FoodBank. 
His work involves designing community-led interventions to tackle food insecurity, &  increasing Access to immersive education for vulnerable children in Nigeria.

Through his advocacy, Itofa has raised over $16,000 in funding to design sustainable solutions in education & food security.

He is a TEDx speaker, & a 2023 Chevening Scholar pursuing a  Masters in International Development & Management at the University of Bradford, England.

The Importance and role of a man in his family cannot be overemphasized. The man needs to see to the growth and wellbeing of his family.
This episode with Mr Stephen delved into how the role of a man in the family impacts the children a great deal. The presence and availaibility of the man in the home leads to the upbringing of wholesome children.

Comparison is a natural human tendency but it can quickly become toxic when we constantly measure ourselves against others.  Social media, advertising and and societal expectations often fuel the comparison trap, leading to feelings of inadequacy and self doubt.
 Men,  just like anyone else, can fall victim to comparing their achievements, appearance, relationships, and overall success to others.
Comparison with other people is futile because one isn't going to the same destination as they are.
A man loses touch with his core and  authenticity when he compares hi self with others.
All that he needs to strive for is to be a better version of himself than he was yesterday.
 Seeking to be the best you can be on a daily basis.

Responsibility is very key to the becoming of a total man in life. In our world today there is a trend of irresponsibilities that is on the rise because many men don't want to own up to their actions whether good or bad.

This episode with Mr Ovie Daniels will help you to see the importance and benefits of taking responsibilities as a man. One of the reasons why being responsible as a man is very crucial is because the generations after you will be impacted or affected by actions.

Growing up,  more emphasis was laid on raising the female child right, ensuring she's morally upright, emotionally stable and able to do the domestic house chores. On the contrary not too much emphasis and intentionality was laid on how the male child is been raised. The male child are been overlooked and assumed they will get to figure out life as they grow up.

As way of sharing feedback from my experience with the boys, we convene the 'Boys Leadership Academy', 'Total Men Online Summit'', Mentoring Clubs for Boys and convene the annual 'International Boys Conference' as a platform to train boys and men on how to positive and productive lives.

He received the National Volunteers Award in 2020 on his work for humanity and listed among the top 10 finalist for Nigeria Diversity Award.

He is the Author of 'The Journey into Manhood' that is a great resource for Boys and young men.

He is happily married to Ruth and their union of over 4 years is blessed with 1 biological daughter and many foster sons.

In this day and age, many men find it easier to ditch what makes them tick, that which aligns with their core, for a facade all in the name of feeling among and to be seen as pleasing to the society. Many men have lost the essence of being authentic, and living life that is true to them from the core of their being.

I had a conversation with Gbemiga Adejumo to discuss the authenticity of a man. The highlights of the conversation were:

Tobi is currently working as a Clinical Lead for First Response Service and Ambulance Service as a Mental health Joint Response Service. He is involved in key clinical decision making within the team to give patient the best quality of care and provides support for his colleagues in making timely decisions with patients in crisis. 
Tobi is married to Ibukun Adelaja and blessed with two wonderful boys.
