The Tour Experience

In this week's episode Ryan and Mike answer listener-submitted club fitting, building, and general questions submitted through their weekly Instagram Q&A. They also discuss their own experiences working with golfers struggling with the yips, and their own experiences dealing with the dreaded "y" word.

But, before getting to that, our hosts talk about the recent F1 race in Brazil, rules violations, and how the rules surrounding racing are just as intricate as those in golf.

This week hosts Ryan and Mike welcome Keenan Phillips from True Temper Golf to talk about his role as the Product Marketing & Collegiate Rep, how he started with the company, and what it's like fitting teenagers that are faster than PGA tour players.

In this week's episode, Ryan and Mike cover a lot of ground in the world of golf, club fittings, and new equipment - specifically the spotted prototype driver from Callaway.

The host continues the discussion from last week on Mike's lightweight wedge project, and the wedges he decided to put in play for the experiment, the Kirkland Signature - TXG Kirkland wedge review.

Spurred on by a question posed by My Golf Spy, the conversation takes a turn to dive deep into the topic of why professional club fittings aren't free, and the value-added to the golfer when they seek out an in-depth professional fitting. Both Ryan & Mike draw from their experience in the industry at and away from TXG, to cover this highly debated topic and give insight on why the phrase "you get what you pay for" holds true. 

Lastly, we talk about the PGA and LPGA tours, where golfers from the host countries won both events - Hideki Matsuyama at the ZOZO in Japan, and Jin Young Ko in South Korea at the BMW Ladies Championship

In this week's episode, Ryan gets right to asking Mike about his newest wedge project featuring graphite shafts, and a lighter swing weight based on a previous podcast conversation with Marty Jertson from PING.

Next up, the hosts get into talking about the new Mizuno drivers spotted on the USGA conforming clubs list, which looks to be the 2022 models of the STZ and STX. They follow that up with a little discussion about a rumored new Callaway driver which was spotted by European Tour Equipment reporter Rob Brooks: GolfNation on Instagram, and what else could be on the horizon.

In this week's episode, Ryan and Mike dive right into the hottest equipment story on the PGA  Tour - Adam Scott and Justin Thomas' prototype Titleist irons. Both sets feature unique attributes and the conversation gets right to the nitty-gritty.   

Next up, the new Callaway Apex UW and the overlooked category of the half hybrid - half fairways wood, and finally - lightweight clubs including the newest Callaway "Star" line.
