Taylor Swift's tickets to her upcoming Era's tour went on sale last week and the world has lost their ever-living-minds about it! It all started when Ticketmaster opened up a "Verified Fan's Only" pre-sale event, which limited the number of people that could purchase tickets. Millions of people were left waiting on the sidelines to purchase, only to find out that the general public sale would never end up happening.
Frustrated fans across the nation have taken to the internet to voice their distaste for not only Ticketmaster, for being a huge monopoloy in the ticket industry, but also to Taylor Swift herself. Calling her out for being a "capitalist" and not address the issue of her tickets being resold for a higher price than she originally priced them to be.
Now I have the unpopular opinion here... I believe in free markets and if someone wants to buy something from me, for a price that benefits me, there should be nothing in the way of that transaction taking place. It baffles me a bit that I do not share this opinion with most.
In today's episode, I play clips from other Tiktok-ers expressing their opinion about all this Taylor Swift drama. I also talk about the past trendy food desserts over the last few years, can you guess what it is this year? I'm looking at you Crumbl cookie.... and I also tie in how this all relates to the face-mask shortage in 2020.
We have Adam Smith, the Father of Economics to thank for all this, and more! I hope you enjoy today's episode.

What does a $300,000 McDonald's Happy Meal Toy listing on Ebay have to do with the stock market???.... believe it or not, a lot
In today's episode I talk about what the "bid" price is and the "ask" price is of an option contract and how looking at these two prices is a great way to quickly determine if a product is LIQUID or not. Impress your friends with the knowledge you learned today!

The Scary Reality of Taking Assignment in a Calendar Spread- it turned out to not be so scary. Fortunately enough, I had the second part of the trade to balance out the trade.
Today's episode is all about Calendar Spreads! When is a good time to place a calendar spread? When is a good time to take them off? What happens when you take early assignment? All this, and more will be answered in today's show.

This past weekend, I had a run-in with another stock trader on tiktok who was convinced that options contracts have "no intrinsic value". When I asked him if he wanted to like debate me on that topic, he turned down my request. So I decided to create a podcast episode all about intrinsic value just for him (and for you of course!)
Before I started trading, I too often wondered where the prices of options came from. Why does one product that costs $30 have option contracts that are trading at $1, and another $30 product with option contracts trading for $5?! It didn't make any sense to me! That is until I learned about intrinsic and extrinsic values.
Extrinsic value is made up of two things: (1) time remaining in an option contract and (2) implied volatility (aka "uneasiness in price")
When it comes to Intrinsic value, any option contract that is OTM (out of the money) has ZERO intrinsic value. However, if the option contract is ITM (in the money), that contract does in fact have intrinsic value!
How do you passively aggressively say "I told you so" on the internet? With a podcast episode of course!!

In today's episode I go through my portfolio and discuss all my current positions and I also explain why option trading is so much better than traditional stock trading.
7:00 min- is when I get into today's topic where I discuss stocks vs. options.
The biggest take-away I want you to go home with is when trading stocks, you are trying to answer the question "where do I think the stock will go?" and when you trade options, you change your mindset to thinking "where do I think the stock won't go?"

What do you think wins baseball championships? Homeruns or single hits?? If you guessed single hits, you are 100% correct. Waiting around for those grand slams can get you caught in analysis paralysis, which will make you miss a lot of opportunities that could be sitting right in front of you.
My goal of today's episode is to provide you with a new way of thinking about trading and the stock market. It is so much better to be trading small and trading often and cashing in your trades once they have become winners, vs waiting around for them to be homerun winners. The probabilities just don't come up as often as you would think.
The other biggest take-away from this episode is to show you that making a 2% return on your money weekly, really starts to add up quickly. I had someone comment on a facebook answer I gave where I said that my goal on investing $15,000 was to make $300 a week and they responded by saying that was too little.
Well "too little" grows really fast when you can continuously produce those results week after week using the math of compounding interest!

It's rough, it's raw, it's off the cuff, but it had to be done! It had to be said!!
Please forgive the HORRIBLE sound quality in today's episode, but I just had to press record and get my thoughts out in the open.
In today's episode I dive in deep with my thoughts about everything currently going on in the stock market. I cover everything from GameStop stock skyrocketing by the reddit users, the possibility of a conspiracy theory with the new administration, why my account was showing a huge loss when really all my positions are exactly where I want them to be, and why volatility matters SO MUCH in the pricing of options.

In today's episode, I use Bill Poulos's example for explaining what exactly a "call option" is and then apply it to a real time strategy using Disney Stock.
If you ever thought call options were complicated before, listen to today's episode where I dive in on both players of a contract and explain in detail what happens if the stock price stays the same, if the stock price goes up and if the stock price goes down!
