This is the first part of a mini-series for the Trading Card Preservation Society called Dave's Decades. Dave the Cardboard Junkie examines the state of trading cards every ten years starting in 1955. We will then cover 1965, 1975, 1985, 1995, 2005, and finally 2015. And if it goes well I guess we should probably do an episode from the future covering 2025.
Episode #6 finds Dave the Cardboard Junkie and Matt F. well rested after taking February off from podcasting. All that changes here when the dynamic duo chat about the Topps Tribute recall, a Mars Attacks Kickstarter, the passing of Leonard Nimoy, Marvel Cinematic Universe news, the new release calendar, and some listener Q and A. Colligere Omnia!
This mini episode comes from Episode #6. Here Dave and Matt talk about Birdman, the Oscars, and Matt's brush with fame for a few hours.

In this mini episode Dave the Cardboard Junkie gives his hard hitting and bleep filled review of the third Hobbit movie The Battle of the Five Armies. Spoilers abound and explitives fly across this mini episode! This was recorded as part of our Best of 2014 segment and Dave had to get a "Worst of 2014" off his chest.
Here is Part 2 of Episode #3. Things get a little loopy at the end as we were recording until about 2am! In this episode Dave the Cardboard Junkie and I talk about 2015 Topps Stadium Club, damaged Topps Heritage High Number sets, the My Little Pony Trading Card Game, Dave busts a 2012 Topps factory set. We also cover the December New Release Calendar and attempt to answer listener Q and A! Thanks for listening and Colligere Omnia which is Latin for "Collect All Things."
Here's Part 1 of another 3+ hour episode we had to split in half! In Part 1 we discuss our Black Friday purchases, Donruss factory sets, Panini's problems with relics, our first ever book review about a book featuring Topps Star Trek cards, a closer look at 2014 Topps Dynasty, and Hammer Films DVD collection. Look for Part 2 next week!
Welcome back to another episode of the Trading Card Preservation Society. Our topics tonight include the return of Barry Bonds to baseball cards, the very old stickers of 2014 Topps Supreme, the problems of buying cards site unseen. In pop-culture we have Marvel’s Phase 3 films, Garbage Pail Kids, and Doctor Who cards. And as always the release calendar and your Q & A.
It's three week since Halloween so what better time to release a Trading Card Preservation Society mini episode featuring Dave the Cardboard Junkie's review of Bela Lugosi's Ape Man. This was originally recorded during our Episode #1 recording session but we edited it out of that episode because of time considerations. But now we've taken that review and combined it with clips from the film for an audio and visual extravaganza!
