One sentence can change everything.
“My kids don’t know their dad as an addict.”
Behind those words are years of silent battles and the moment one man chose to rewrite his life. In this episode, Cam shares how getting clean did not just save him. It transformed every part of his world.
Cam opens up about chasing a lifelong dream of playing professional basketball and discovering that even after reaching a place he once believed would be enough, the emptiness remained. His story is a reminder that addiction does not disappear with success. You can achieve everything you once prayed for and still feel lost.
From rebuilding himself to building his own renovation company, Cam’s journey is rooted in resilience and accountability. More importantly, he became a present, grounded father to three children who look up to and admire him. He did not just change careers or habits. He changed the kind of man he chose to be.
Cam is living proof that it is possible to rise from the ashes and walk in the light. He speaks honestly about his struggles, learning to respect himself again, and the exact moment he decided enough was enough.
This is not just a conversation about recovery. It is a reminder that your past does not get the final word. The future is still yours to choose, and the greatest gift we can give our children is becoming the strongest, healthiest version of ourselves.
In this episode, we journey inward and share the truth of our own healing — the moments that brought us to a breaking point, the inner call that led us to seek change, and how those transformative experiences have inspired us to support others on their own path.
We speak honestly and from the heart, reflecting on the life experiences that brought us to our knees, the deep inner work that followed, and how we've learned to transform pain into purpose. Whether you're just beginning to explore your healing or have been walking this path for some time, this episode offers connection, reflection, and hope.
In this episode we dive deep into receiving. What it means to receive and how to truly open our hearts to it.
Many may block the gifts and opportunities they seek most in this life simply because they believe on a subconscious level they aren't deserving of them. Learning how to open your heart and walk in the frequency of enoughness may feel unfamiliar to you. If it is, we invite you to listen!
You may think you can only earn "good things" but in reality you can open yourself up to receiving by embracing your worth, yourself and life.
“True abundance begins the moment we fully believe we are worthy of receiving it. When we embrace our worth, we unlock the doors to all that life has waiting for us.”
In this deeply vulnerable podcast I read the final letter I sent to my father saying goodbye. I talk about the pain that is caused from wanting someone to be apart of your life so bad but sadly, they aren't capable. How as kids we blame ourselves for the incapability of our parents to be... true parents. The burden leaving a child behind and the effects it has throughout their entire life. Also, how it is up to US to break this generational cycle and the power in doing so.
In this deeply grounding and expansive episode, we explore what it truly means to embody sacred masculinity—not as an abstract idea, but as a daily practice of presence, integrity, and love.
We talk about the real tools and inner shifts that have helped us walk this Earth more rooted, more conscious, and more connected to our hearts. From breath work and brotherhood to stillness, self-inquiry, and sacred routines, we share what has guided us back to our truth.
This isn’t about performing masculinity or rejecting it—it’s about reclaiming it. Sacred masculinity is a powerful, nurturing force that stands in stark contrast to toxic masculinity or outdated, performative roles. It's not about control, dominance, or disconnection. It’s about devotion, awareness, and service. It’s about being a man who listens, who holds, who shows up—not just for himself, but for others.
We also speak to something vital: our sacred responsibility to the feminine. Women don’t need us to rescue them—but they do need more men who are willing to rise, to heal, and to stand beside them with reverence and strength. This is a call to action—for men to support, uplift, and co-create a more balanced, loving world.
If you’re ready to step into a version of masculinity that’s heart-led, embodied, and awake—this conversation is for you.
This episode is personal. I’m sharing reflections from a recent AA talk I was invited to give—an experience that cracked something open in me. I spoke about sobriety, yes, but more than that, I spoke about the danger of stopping there. About how easy it is to grab hold of a label—addict, alcoholic, broken—and let it define us. Sometimes we wear that label like it’s who we are, but healing doesn’t live in a name. Healing lives in the why. Why were we numbing? What was so loud inside us that we had to silence it with a substance?
Getting sober was a door. But walking through it meant facing everything I was running from. In this episode, I go deep into the messy, necessary work of looking at the pain beneath the pattern, the root beneath the reaction. This is about more than quitting. It’s about becoming.
Chris was at his lowest, standing on the edge of a decision that could have ended everything. But instead of giving in, he found healing in the one place he never expected—nature. In this raw and inspiring conversation, Chris opens up about how the outdoors became his sanctuary, helping him find clarity, purpose, and the strength to stay sober for over seven years. We discuss the power of solitude, the lessons learned from the wild, and how sometimes, our deepest struggles can lead us to our greatest transformations.
If you've ever battled your own demons or searched for a way forward, this episode is a reminder that hope can be found in the most unexpected places.
In this episode, I dive into the heart of The Trail Ahead Podcast—why I started it, the mission behind it, and why I believe men need a safe space to be vulnerable. For too long, men have been told to suppress their emotions, to “tough it out,” and to carry their struggles in silence. But the truth is, healing, self-discovery, and emotional expression aren’t just for some—they’re for all of us.
Through my own healing journey, I realized how powerful it is to share, to connect, and to create a space where real conversations can happen. This podcast is a place for men to show up as they are, to embrace their emotions, and to know they’re not alone.
In this episode, we explore the art of holding more: more space for healing, more grace for growth, and more patience for both ourselves and others.
Life constantly asks us to stretch, whether it’s in our relationships, work, or personal growth. But how do we expand our ability to navigate challenges, hold space for others, and still care for our own needs?
True capacity isn’t about pushing harder—it’s about expanding with intention.
