It's finally #trailtalktuesday and time to get back into the swing of things with Chris Rinck - President of the Southern Tug Hill Sno-Riders. In this conversation we discuss trail issues, lack of snow, and an interesting concern he has for the club and region going forward in this 15 minute podcast episode.

In this edition of the Trail Talk Podcast, we talk to Chris Skipper from the Turin Ridge Riders at their brand new groomer barn just up from Timberview, high up on the Tug Hill Plateau. We talk about the construction of the groomer barn, the new (to them) groomer recently purchased, and why you should join their club, especially if you ride up on Tug Hill at all. Especially if you ride in from Brantingham to get up to the hill!

In this first episode of Season 3 of the Trail Talk Podcast, we talk to John Bates of the Ohio Ridge Riders. Snow Bash is the big event this weekend and we talk a lot about it! We also go into how the club has survived lack of Snow Bash last year and the previous winter. We also discuss work on great trails in the Ohio system that are truly backcountry expeditions and amazing places few ever get to see at any time of the year. If you are looking for a unique ride idea you probably have never done before, John and I discuss two of them in the podcast.

In this episode I give thanks for all of you, share a few stories and shout outs to the many whom have supported and encouraged me and Upstate Snow throughout the years.

We welcome back to the Trail Talk Podcast for a 2020 installment, Jim Rolf, Trail Coordinator for the New York State Snowmobile Association. Anything you can think of that is an issue in NY for snowmobiling we discussed it. We talked a lot about the rail trail from Tupper Lake to Lake Placid, and some dreams for snowmobiling in the state in the future. It's always a great conversation. Thank you Jim! Dave Gleasman is the owner of Mapledale Motors in Barneveld, NY. He has been a friend of my family for 20 years. In December 2014 when I had to step back from Upstate Snow due to work reasons, Dave bought it from me and continued to grow it until the summer of 2019 when situations changed and I was able to buy back. Without him, there would be no Upstate Snow today. We share lots of fun snowmobile stories, how he got involved with Penn Mountain and what snowmobiling means to him now, passing it on to the next generation.
