In the last episode of our series on Overconsumption, today I talk about how overstimulation may be ruining our lives. Studies have shown that when we are overstimulated it affects our mental health and our physical health. We spend so much time in front of screens and constantly "entertaining" ourselves that we sometimes don't realize the effect on our health. Today's episode walks through what overstimulation is, how we might be unknowingly overstimulating ourselves, and some tips to help us find more balance with this in our lives.
Deinfluencing is on the rise currently as people are beginning to see the fallout from influencers constantly pushing products at them. In our series about overconsumption, in today's episode, I'm talking about how we can avoid falling trap to trends. I talk about avoiding the pressure to take part in every health trend or fashion trend. I tell stories of my own experiences and give us some practical tips to help us be intentional with our spending and habits.
Culture constantly influences us to overspend. So often we buy things we don't need because we are filling emotional needs or coping by shopping. In today's episode I talk through why it's important to be intentional with our spending habits and how we can overcome our overspending. I talk through different triggers and how we can be mindful of the overconsumption happening in our own lives.
Overconsumption is plaguing our lives. We are constantly inundated with information. We are overwhelmed, overstimulated, and worn out. We suffer from information addiction and information overload. How can we get control of this and stop the pressure to overconsume? What types of boundaries and balance can benefit us? In today's episode I talk about this and provide tips to help move us in a healthier direction.
So many of us are running on empty. We are overstimulated, overrun, and burnt out. We have trouble concentrating because we have so much on our plates. It can feel a bit much at times and if we aren't properly refilling our cup, it can wear us down. Today's episode talks through my own struggles with this and how we can refill our cups to find more rest.
Do you know what God says about you? What does the Bible say about identity? How can I find my identity in Christ and be more strongly rooted in that? This final part of our Rooted series covers just that. I talk all about how we can know who God says we are and have our identities rooted in Christ. I talk about the importance of being rooted and my own story. I also talk about overcoming lies and replacing them with God's truth about ourselves.
Do you feel like you are rooted in God's word? Do you feel overwhelmed when trying to read the Bible? Do you understand the importance of the Bible? The Bible is God's word to us and it's a weapon for us in our walk of faith. It's a vital part of our relationship with God because it's one of the biggest ways that he speaks to us. In today's episode, I talk about why the Bible matters and why it's so important that we are rooted in our faith. I tell some of my own stories of how knowing scripture helped me through tough times and I give practical tips to help you in your journey as well.

Do you have a good understanding of who God is? What about Jesus? Do you know what the Bible says about the Holy Spirit? It's so important to understand who God is as a whole and understand His character. The Bible says so much to help us better understand who God is and the more we dig into that, the deeper rooted we will become. Christian culture and culture in general often teach us incorrect things about God that cause us to view him the wrong way. In today's episode, we dig into how we can become more rooted in our faith by understanding what the bible says about God and how we can uproot the lies and build strong roots with the truth about God.

I've been so burdened by everything going on lately that I felt like we needed a reminder of compassion and how to better respond. I feel like as a society we have gotten progressively short fused and we so often respond with emotion before thinking. This week's episode reminds us of a few things we can do as leaders.
