When a customer has a tire blowout on your rental trailer, who should pay for it? The customer or the rental company?

This is one of the biggest debates among trailer rental business owners. Some believe tire damage is simply the cost of doing business, while others believe customers should be responsible for the equipment they're renting.

In this episode of Trailer Hustle, I explain why I believe customers should be responsible for tire damage, but also how I use Discount Tire's replacement certificates to help save them hundreds of dollars.

I also share a real situation that happened today with one of my rental customers all the way in California and how we were able to get their tire replaced quickly and easily.

What does a successful business actually look like?

It doesn’t have to mean millions in revenue, dozens of employees, multiple locations, or a massive trailer fleet. For some people, success might mean an extra $2,000–$5,000 a month, paying the mortgage, building retirement savings, taking more vacations, or simply having more freedom.
