Wow! Episode 10 of The Training Tom Podcast. As this is the 10th episode, I decided to do something different! I am going to be sharing some thoughts from the notes I make on my phone.
To give some context, when I listen to a podcast and find something interesting or if I want to get some thoughts out of my head, I will often make a note on my phone. These notes accumulate over the days, weeks and months.
For today's episode, I wanted to accumulate some of these notes together and reflect on what I had typed. I found it interesting to revisit these notes and interpret them through reflection.
Join me every week as I share how I am training myself to navigate life. I share the lessons I have learned, the challenges I am currently facing and the questions I have for my future self.

We all have choices to make, and in today's episode I share my perspective on those choices, how the choices we make have consequences (both good and bad), and how mindset can impact those choices as well.

This episode is a reminder to myself, and possibly a reminder to you. I often compare my life to other people's and what I see of other people's lives on social media. It's very easy to feel overwhelmed or like we are behind in life. We might also have expectations placed on us by society or our environment.
It might not feel like we are in the right place, but in this episode, I hope to explain why you are exactly where you need to be.

In this episode, I take some time to reflect on the Mental Health and Me series, sharing some of the feedback I have received and some of my thoughts on the series. I also provide an update on my health — sharing what progress I have made and where I am in this health challenge.
But the biggest reveal?
I reveal that I am attempting my most ambitious fitness challenge ever!
I dive into why I feel drawn to this challenge, questioning my own reasons and exploring what it's really for. Am I doing this for the right reasons? What do I hope to gain? And what happens if I fail? This is a raw and honest reflection on ambition, self-doubt, and the pursuit of embracing discomfort.

We are wrapping up the Mental Health and Me series with a present and future-focused episode. Discomfort can sometimes be very daunting and can be the opposite of what we might want to do, but in this episode, I discuss how embracing discomfort can be beneficial and help support you now and in the future. This episode holds some valuable lessons for me that I am still trying to learn, so I hope it can be beneficial for you, too.

This episode provides an insight into how Tom is using a growth mindset to become the person he wants to be, and how you can too. Tom discusses how he often uses time as an excuse for not working towards his goals, and how he is now trying to become a person of action instead of being "all talk".
