David Northup, an elder at Redemption Bible Church continues the sermon series entitled "The Crown and the Cross," a study of the gospel of Mark. The transfiguration of Jesus Christ was a unique display of His divine character and a glimpse of the glory of God. While the nature of Jesus' form while here on the earth is worth understanding, it pales in comparison to the ramification that comes from the claim made in this passage. Three men were chosen by Jesus, to be witnesses, and the truth of Jesus' divinity was made plain to them to help create a "bridge" from their old life to this new life of being an apostle.
