  • Inclusivity in Fashion Starts with Diversity of Thought

The dynamic pace of the fashion industry creates a unique challenge and an opportunity for diversity of thought. How do you move quickly, but slow down at the same time, to capture everyone’s voice? As diversity of thought drives creativity within an organization, how do we create psychological safety in a team so people bring the best of themselves at all seniority levels? What is the connection between inclusion, culture, curiosity and unconscious bias?

Join Semone Bamboat, VP of Global Talent Acquisition and Diversity & Inclusion at Capri Holdings, and Tony Rogers, Senior Consultant at Right Management, as they discuss how leaders can create a safe, inclusive and supportive culture in their organizations.

Hosts: Roberta Cucchiaro and Dominika Gałusa

  • How Blockchain Empowers Job Seekers

Resume inaccuracy costs employers more than half a trillion dollars per year and there’s always an element of risk for businesses when they hire new talent, but what if there was a way to minimize that risk while also empowering job seekers?

Blockchain technology is perhaps best known for its role in safeguarding the cryptocurrency infrastructure in Bitcoin, for example, to make financial transactions secure without a need for a bank or a middleman. But in this episode, we are talking about the use case for Blockchain in HR. What are the challenges and benefits for both candidates and employers? What if candidates could have a tamper-proof, portable Digital Work Passport? How could Blockchain impact the future of HR? You don’t want to miss this episode with Erik Simins, CEO and co-founder of Workwolf, a Toronto-based start-up that is disrupting traditional hiring cycles to automate and improve time to hire via a two-phase hiring process and a Digital Work Passport.

  • The ROI of DE&I

When we asked Ashish Kaushal, CEO at HireTalent and Co-Founder of Consciously Unbiased, if diversity and inclusion are the same thing, he had his answer ready: “Diversity is a number, inclusion is your culture”.

Join us on this Pride Month special episode as we ask Ashish Kaushal, an expert in transformation and tackling bias in the workplace, and Jennifer Torney, North American VP for Client Engagement at TAPFIN, to do some Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) myth busting!

Ashish and Jennifer talk about DE&I in the contingent workforce as most organizations tend to focus their DE&I efforts on their full-time employees and likely haven’t given this topic enough thought when it comes to their contingent workers.

What does it mean to be consciously unbiased? What are the benefits of including diversity in an end-to-end MSP? What is MSP 3.0 and how do you measure the ROI from your DE&I efforts? These and many more questions on this thought-provoking episode!

  • The Candidate Feedback Loop: It’s All About Karma

In this month’s episode we talk about candidate feedback and employer branding with Daniel Birkholm, CEO & Co-founder of candidate feedback platform Talenthub.io, and Anna Krogulska, Global Head of Recruitment and Employer Branding at Danfoss.

To find the right qualified candidates, a business not only needs attractive incentives like salary, benefits, advancement opportunities but also a successful outreach and engagement strategy.

Businesses may think of a brand as the face of the organization to a consumer. But increasingly, it’s important to present a brand that appears to job seekers as well. Think of candidates as online shoppers: they read reviews, want an engaging experience, want to be treated with respect and their feedback is key to improving the hiring process.

For example, a few years ago, Virgin Media calculated the value of bad candidate experience, and the results were astonishing – bad candidate experience cost Virgin Media almost 5 billion pounds annually. As the analysis had shown, rejected candidates were also Virgin Media’s consumers and they decided to switch their subscriptions to competitors.

Join us on this journey where candidates are at the center stage. As more and more candidates look for security, sustainability of skills, wellness and the ability to manage their work-life, let’s learn how listening to what workers want can help you attract and retain the very best candidates: feedback IS everything.

  • Women in Leadership

In this episode, we talk about Women in Leadership with Amy Smyth, Head of the European Centre of Excellence for Career Management at Right Management, and Brendan Plessis, Executive Vice President at Sompo International and mentor in Lloyd’s of London – Right Management Advance programme.

International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8, but our efforts to promote Gender Equality and create an equal future for all do not stop in March. This year, the theme for International Women’s Day was “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world,” and it celebrated the tremendous efforts by women and girls around the world in shaping a more equal future and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting the gaps that still remain – and there are still many.

Throughout the podcast, we ask what is “shecession”; why language is so important; what are the strategies that women could use to assert themselves in their careers; what is sponsorship and how is it different from mentorship; why are there some sectors less gender diverse than others and what more can be done to close that gap; why more women aren’t progressing into executive positions; do men and women really lead differently and, how to win a salary negotiation (hint: go for it!)!

  • Statement of Work Explained with Talent Solutions and Deployed

In this episode, we ask Kayleigh Kuptz, Co-founder and COO at Deployed, and Sana Ali, EMEA Service Procurement Manager at Talent Solutions TAPFIN, how Statement of Work (SoW) can help organizations succeed in the post Covid-19 economy.

Kayleigh sums it up really well by explaining that “the job for life is dead: you don’t hire for people anymore, you hire for services and outcomes and SoW enables that flexibility and agility” needed in today’s world of work – SoW is one of the largest categories of spend for an organization and has increased 21% year-over-year, representing 3 to 6 times the spend of contingent labour.

This rapid growth is primarily fuelled by the rise of the gig workforce, who look to maintain their independence and desire flexible working arrangements while organizations want to shift risk, maintain quality and control costs by moving to outcome-based solutions.

With the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the overnight (and now long term) shift to remote work and the growing urgency for organizations to digitize, never before has organisational agility been tested in such extreme and accelerated circumstances.

Hosts: Roberta Cucchiaro and Dominika Gałusa

  • Shaping the New Reality: How Organizations Can Prepare for Success in 2021

In this first episode of the year, we talk about the key trends for 2021: workforce flexibility, talent sustainability and digital transformation.

Remote work has created boundless opportunities for employers to tap skills beyond borders and talent in the cloud; the pandemic and social movements around inequities have pushed organizations to refocus on what's most important to employees: wellbeing, upskilling and transparency; and as technology becomes more pervasive in every facet of our lives, we explore how SuperTeams, powered by AI, can combine the best of human skills and intelligent machines.

Join Raleen Gagnon, Vice President Global Market Intelligence at Talent Solutions; Marceline Beijer, Global RPO Brand Leader and Vice President Europe at Talent Solutions, and Dave Mancl, Performance Analytics Director at ManpowerGroup, as they discuss how organizations can prepare for success in 2021.

  • Walk The Talk: Meaningful Work After Cancer

While more and more people are winning the fight against cancer, they are still having a hard time keeping their jobs or finding new work. Cancer survivors not only deserve a fair chance while applying for jobs but are also able to bring adaptability and perseverance to the workplace in addition to their normal qualifications. To ensure equal opportunities and change perceptions of cancer in the workplace, the social enterprise oPuce and a network of large companies in the Netherlands launched the Talent Connector, which empowers job seekers who have recovered from cancer by connecting them directly to dedicated recruiters.

In this holiday broadcast we talk to Isabelle Lebrocquy, founder of oPuce as well as Laurence Maes, Lead Patient Engagement & Advocacy Benelux at Janssen, part of Johnson & Johnson, and Jeffrey van Meerkerk, Director Strategic Relations, Sustainability and CSR at ManpowerGroup. Both Johnson & Johnson and ManpowerGroup are signatories of the Work and Cancer Covenant and have been closely involved in setting up the Talent Connector.
