Food historian Jacqui Newling from Sydney Living Museums talks about the transformation of the kitchen. Jacqui talks about the early days when the poor cooked in the living area and the wealthy had their kitchens in the rear of the house or the basement (for the servants to cook in).  The kitchen gradually found itself being integrated back into our ‘modernist’ lifestyle in the 60s-70s-80s and is now the hub of the home.
