True happiness can only be found in God, we will experience frequent hurt and disappointment in people when we seek from people the happiness and joy that God has given us in Christ Jesus.

Our relationship with people should be focused on how we can be a blessing to them as opposed to seeking what we can get from them.

Relationship with God

God loves us unconditionally and our actions cannot make Him love us more or less. Though God's position of love for us will never change, there are several factors that affect how we see Him.

Who is a sinner?

A person is not a sinner because of their sinful behaviour. A person is a sinner because they have a sinful nature i.e they are not born again. The sinful nature is the spiritual condition of unsaved people. A Christian, though may still sin because his or her mind has not been renewed, is not a sinner.

The fall of humanity after Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden brought spiritual death into the human race. The evidence of the death can be seen in how we are so focused on self and not on God.
