  • Rafi Anteby | being a conscious traveler while helping the world be a better place
Rafi Anteby is my guest today. Rafi is known as the “conscious traveler” and that has never been more so than right now. He set up the REloading Life Gala to benefit Australia’s wildlife. The gala will be hosted by Jamie Foxx and Renee Bargh on March 16 in Los Angeles at the Vibrato Grill. The proceeds from the event are to benefit an emergency triage for wounded animals on Kangaroo Island. This triage center will become a protected wildlife sanctuary that will help heal the animals of Australia.
In addition to Rafi’s help with the Australia wildfire damage, he is also known for his jewelry design companies, Bullets 4 Peace and The Domino Effect.
He is proof positive that if you put out good vibes you will receive good vibes back. We talk about his travels and how he combats jet lag and the importance of giving back to the communities we visit while on our own work/business trips.
Rafi has a passion for animals and nature and focuses much of his philanthropic efforts on animal rescue and nature preservation. Through his worldwide travels, he has visited some of the most beautiful unknown places and met incredibly special people. However, traveling to these underserved communities also opened his eyes to the overwhelming needs of the people, animals and our sacred habitats around the world.
His goal in founding Reloading Life is to bring awareness and to help those in need by uniting passionate people with a common cause of making the world a better place for all. In Hollywood, he is known for his charitable jewelry lines Bullets4Peace and Domino Effect as well as his award show official gift lounges where he curates luxury lifestyle goods and exotic travel experiences for the entertainment industry’s elite. He uses his influence in Hollywood to rally entertainment’s most influential people to raise awareness and funds for various important causes around the world.

  • Raquel McNabb | wife, mom and athlete helping even the playing field for all children CARIS SPORTS
Raquel McNabb is my guest today. She founded the Caris Sports Foundation to give kids, who otherwise couldn’t afford to join a team, the chance to play. An accomplished athlete and mother of four, Raquel has personally supported athletes from low-income families over the years.
Being a busy mom of four athletic, school aged children, she started the foundation because of the importance of helping others achieve their goals. She has a lot of balls up in the air at all times with the foundation getting started last year, four children and their always changing schedules and a husband that is always on the move as well.
    Caris Sports Foundation
The foundation was founded in 2019 to help kids and their families meet the costs associated with recreational and competitive sports.
They are well aware of the fees involved in team sports. Team fees, equipment, uniforms, travel expenses, and other related costs all add up. Some families can afford it; others can’t. But access to sports shouldn’t be limited to those who have the financial resources to play. Income affects sports participation. Children who play more come from families that can afford more. Only 34% of kids ages 6 to 12 from homes with incomes of $25,000 or less played team sports compared to 69% of kids from home with incomes of $100,000 or more.
Organized sports shouldn’t price out kids who can benefit from the camaraderie, competition, challenges, personal growth, and accomplishments that sports offer. Caris Sports Foundation and its supporters provide scholarships to cover those expenses. By taking the money problem out of the equation, we help young athletes, from kindergarten through high school, get out on the playing field.
Caris Sports Foundation’s current activities are limited to Arizona; however, they will soon be expanding to other regions.

Embarking on a journey that traces back to the tender age of 7, Steve's virtuoso guitar prowess has weathered the sands of five decades, resonating with an everlasting rhythm that continues to enthrall audiences worldwide. A true rock icon, he still ignites the stage alongside the electrifying Billy Idol, a partnership spanning almost 40 years. Through this remarkable alliance, Steve has unlocked the gates to the enigmatic realm of the music industry, a domain where he's collaborated on harmonies with luminaries such as Michael Jackson, Ric Ocasek, and Vince Neil.

  • Steve Stevens | grammy winning guitarist rocking the decades with Billy Idol
Steve Stevens is my guest today. Steve shared stories and advice from the road. His guitar playing background started at the age of 7 and five decades later he is still rocking out on a regular basis with Billy Idol. Spending nearly 40 years, off and on, with Billy Idol has given him some rare insight to the music industry. Steve worked on albums with Michael Jackson, Ric Ocasek, Vince Neil, soundtracks for the movies “Top Gun” and “Speed”, and more recently supergroup Deathland Ritual. He won his Grammy for the “Top Gun Anthem” and we talked about the possibility of the song making a comeback for this summer blockbuster follow up “Top Gun: Maverick”. He sees a need for the continuation of rock music and live performances but he also spoke about the growth of electronic music and the recent boom of Billie Eilish.

I was completely blown away getting to spend so much time talking with Steve and thankful for his wife, Josie, for setting up our time to chat. They work well together and we spoke about the positives of having your spouse with you while traveling for work.

Steve will be playing with Billy at their new residency at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas over the month of March. Make sure to follow him on social media to see where and with whom he will be playing with for the rest of the year.

  • Danielle Lewis piloting life - Ep. 78
Danielle Lewis, a skilled airline pilot for a major commercial airline, brings a wealth of experience to the world of business travel. Her journey began in the Air Force, where she served as a C130 pilot, honing her skills and overcoming challenges in a male-dominated profession. As one of the few female aviators in the US military, Danielle's exceptional talent and determination earned her a groundbreaking opportunity—to become the first female pilot to fly a civilian version of the C130 in Africa, specifically in the Congo.
“It’s boring and I love it. Boring is relative, right. No one is shooting at you. At all of the other jobs, even in Africa people were shooting at you.”
Danielle's remarkable experiences in Africa provide her with a unique perspective on business travel. Alongside navigating the skies, she has encountered captivating stories, from encounters with zebras to immersing herself in the vibrant African culture. Her tales are a testament to the diverse and enriching encounters that await travelers in their professional journeys.
In our conversation, Danielle candidly shares the obstacles she has faced as a female pilot and highlights the stark gender imbalance in the commercial aviation industry, where only 3% to 4% of pilots are women. Astonishingly, she continues to encounter male passengers who require reassurance about her ability to fly their aircraft—an ongoing battle to debunk gender stereotypes and prove her competence. Danielle's perseverance and unwavering dedication to her craft serve as an inspiration to aspiring female pilots and demonstrate the importance of remaining focused and determined in male-centered fields.
Transitioning from military flights to commercial flights brought about significant changes for Danielle. During our discussion, she delves into her favorite destinations to fly to and visit, showcasing her deep appreciation for the diverse landscapes and cultures she has encountered throughout her career. Furthermore, she generously imparts invaluable tips for navigating various airports across the United States, drawing from her extensive knowledge and expertise.
Danielle's decision to step out of her comfort zone and join me as a guest on my show is a testament to her character. Initially declining my request, she later reached out, explaining that the girls she mentors had asked her about her own experiences of pushing beyond her comfort zone. Reflecting on my invitation, Danielle realized the significance of continuously challenging ourselves, regardless of age or position. Her decision to share her time, stories, and insights serves as a gracious gesture, inspiring both her mentees and a broader audience.
In conclusion, Danielle Lewis exemplifies the resilience, determination, and grace required to excel in the world of business travel. Her trailblazing journey as a female pilot, her captivating stories of Africa, and her commitment to mentoring young women make her a true inspiration. By sharing her experiences and encouraging others to push their boundaries, Danielle has become a shining example of achievement in a field traditionally dominated by men.
