After an abrupt end to Season 1 and a wild finale to our 2020 year, Travis returns to give some quick thoughts on loss, the state of the podcast, and hopefully some perspective for those navigating on their own journeys.

Travis welcomes Charles Tucker Herbert onto the show this week. Tucker is a long time friend of Trav's and has spent most of his life outdoors exploring and cementing his love for nature. Tucker parlayed his passion for the outdoors into a career in the Conservation Corps. The guys discuss Tucker's work, the spirituality he finds through working outdoors, and how he hopes to not only encourage others to get outside more but to help educate them in conservation and preservation tactics when doing so.

This week Travis is joined by his friend Christian Muma. Christian is a new father and a loving husband who is on his way to nearly 10 years sober after battling most of his life with an alcohol addiction. Christian wanted to share his story about living multiple lives, lying to himself and to loved ones, and finding strength through community. Most importantly Christian's focus is to help those struggling with their demons realize that they are not alone.

As the holiday approached I was consumed by the concept of freedom. I feel incredibly blessed to live in this country, to be “free” to think and act how I wish to. But freedom is something more right? I asked my close friends and family and decided I would put a little episode together and with a little help from my friends I would talk about what it means for one to be “free.”

This week's guest is Carissa Dice. Carissa is one of Travis' best friends. She is a yoga teacher, bartender, festival lover, and overall bad ass free sprit. Together Travis and Carissa discuss her experience with open relationships and dating in general as well as her continuing journey in self discovery, self esteem, and self love. The duo, joined by producer Johnny dive into some funny, sexy, and vulnerable topics, and it didn't hurt that the gang had plenty of drinks while recording.

In the 10th episode of the Travis Caples Podcast, Travis brings on his good friend Sami Sheikh (pronounced SUH-ME SHAKE) on the show. Sami, Travis, and Producer Johnny decide to crack their hearts open and discuss the very real, very raw, and very vulnerable state of the world. The gents dove into Sami’s personal experience with discrimination, the state of civil unrest in the country, and what it means to truly understand eachother and not look to silence those that differ from us in thinking.
