For those of you who know me, I love the outdoors and this week my guest is an inspiring man and friend who shares that same adventurous passion of mine-- all while making a difference. Brad Ludden, is the founder of the non-profit organization, First Descents, which gives young patients victory over their cancer by offering free life-changing outdoor adventures in kayaking, surfing and rock climbing. The professional kayaker started the organization after watching his Aunt endure the disease and saw how little support there was for her. His mission is to bring the healing power of adventure to every young adult impacted by cancer and other serious health conditions.
In this episode, we talk about transformative solutions and remedies on how to deal with all the angst and negative energy surrounding Covid-19 and the world around us. How to define self-awareness and learn how to hit the pause button and use nature as therapy. We discuss how anxiety can be a teaching lesson and how to create a space and hold ourselves accountable. Brad shares real-life lessons on how to shut out technology and what happens when you get out, connect with nature and how the power of "Vitamin Nature" can go a long way! You'll hear how to get out of your comfort zone and reclaim your identity and boost self confidence and self esteem to help alleviate feelings of depression and anxiety. It's a feel-good episode I hope will add some calm in your life.
