Message Discussion Questions:
Special Note: There is a prayer activity to be completed by the group after you discuss the questions. This activity should take about 10 minutes and each person will need a piece of paper and a writing utensil, so be sure to plan accordingly.
1. How have you responded in the past or what is your typical response to
relational hurts?
2. How do the truths in Romans 3:23 and Romans 5:6-8 begin to reshape
your perspective on handling relational hurts in your life?
3. In 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 Paul states that God not only reconciled us to
Himself but has also given us the ministry of reconciliation. What does
the life of someone who has been given the ministry of reconciliation
look like (Read vs. 20 for further assistance)?
Prayer Activity (10 minutes):
Hand out a sheet of paper and a writing utensil to each person in the group. Turn on some background music (group’s choice) and have each person spread out in the room and answer the following questions on their sheet of paper:
Who has relationally hurt me in the past?
How did they hurt me?
In light of God’s mercy to me, how should I try and reconcile that relationship?
At the end of the 10 minutes have the group gather back together and close the group out in prayer together.
