Roughly 24 hours after disclosing that he has largest owner of Twitter stock, Elon Musk now as a seat at the table by joining the board of directors. And it’s still just Tuesday. Will it work? I don’t know. We’ll find out. But I’m not viewing Elon’s actions regarding Twitter with a cynical view. I’m hopeful this is a turning point. On Friday night, Dr. Robert Malone and Alex Berenson appeared on Fox News at the same time to discuss censorship in mainstream media and on social media. Things took a weird turn when Berenson took the opportunity, unprovoked, to jab at Malone’s mRNA technology background and championing of Ivermectin. You can watch it here if you haven’t seen it yet.

I’m a fan of Alex but he was in the wrong in my view. In today’s episode of The Trend is Your Friend, I’ll get into why I think Berenson did what he did, why much of the reaction from his readers is justified, and also why wouldn’t shouldn’t let Malone off the hook for sneaking in an equally silly jab the following day.

What's up! Great to be back after a 2 month break from the mic. In today's episode, I go into detail about why I think people should abandon their political affiliations. I share examples of how doing so has helped me reframe my perspective on certain individuals in a profoundly positive way. If you have found yourself losing loved ones or friends over politics, this is a good podcast to listen to and to share with those people who you're struggling to engage with. 

I've known John LaLoggia for a over a decade. We were college buddies back in the day. He and I are both millennials but we're older millennials. We've known each other long enough to remember the "poke" button on Facebook. We shared a lot of common interests at that time and it was great to reconnect with John in a one on one (kind of) setting to just have a real conversation. John recently released Sh*tty Jobs: The Guide to Surviving a Recession. When I finished it, I knew I had to get him on the show. He has a viewpoint that I think many people our age and younger can empathize with.

In this conversation, we touched on why he finally decided to write the book, how people who are in bad work situations can cope, and what the future of the employer/employee relationship should look like in a successful business. I can tell you after reading the book, I can't think of anyone else I know personally who has experienced so many awful employment environments. Oh and he's also really funny! My hope is that his comedic timing and delivery both in the book and in this podcast episode can really help readers and listeners keep things in perspective even if they're struggling during tough times.
