Isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected before 11a.m., according to the National Weather Service. Then it should be mostly sunny, with a high near 89. Tonight a storm system is moving through the region, bringing a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11 p.m., with lows dipping into the mid-60s.

Tomorrow night could see some clouds and thunderstorms move into the area, and even cooler temperatures.

In our top story today: A tenant at a Prosser apartment complex apparently was shot several times early yesterday, just as police were responding to a burglary.
