Most of us have built "comfort" zones in many areas of our lives, many of these without even realizing it! We fill these places with ease, minimal stress, semi-guaranteed performance levels, and strong “safety nets”. But, there are some ugly truths living in these comfort zones.
In today's episode, I'll share what trees, popcorn and pickles, and bubbles have in common and why it's time to move out our comfort zones (and stop creating them for others!)

If you're like most people, you find yourself often feeling overwhelmed, chasing, striving and spinning your wheels. You spend so much of your time every day helping your business, your employer, your family (and the list goes on!) achieving their goals, but what about yours?
What goals SHOULD you be setting? Which ones are ACTUALLY effective? And which ones matter most?
Have you ever really thought about all of the people, places, and things that have shaped your current life? Have you ever paused to realize that most of the choices you make every day are influenced by some(one) or some(thing), be it from the past or present?
In this episode, we're unpacking all of the distractions and voices in your head that you've been carrying around - many without even realizing - that are holding you back and making space for more of your true self to show up and live freely YOU.
No one wants to invest in the things that don't actually generate a return. YET, we see this done every single day!
Are you a wise investor? Do you make your investments count? It's one thing to invest a dollar to make a dollar PLUS (*and it can't be all about the $), but it's another thing to invest your life in meaningful work and in the things that are guaranteed to not return void.
The world is not going to stop its busyness and it will consume as much of your life as you allow it to. You've gotta stop taking pride in trying to do it all!
So what kind of rest do you really need? How can you find balance? I'll share my "3-Legged Stool Theory" and more tips on how you can find more of what you need in today's hectic world. Today is the day. There's no better time than now to take care of you.
How do you write and live out your own success story? One that will matter decades later? One that is true to who you really are and not tainted by who you are told to be?
True success is about stepping into the fullest version of who you've been created to be and do what you've been put on this earth to do. It's about living an authentic life true to who YOU are. It's time to come alive as you step foot into your own "success" story.

Real stories. Honest conversations. Better questions for real life.
The world is full of hacks for a better life. But a meaningful life isn't built on shortcuts—it’s built in the ordinary, messy, beautiful middle of it all.
I’m 40, I’m raising boys, and I’ve started asking different questions than I did twenty years ago.
What does success actually look like now? What if what worked in one season doesn’t work in the next? What really matters—and what are we spending too much energy chasing?
Each week on The Tried & Truth Podcast, we sit down with authors, entrepreneurs, experts, and thought leaders to explore the questions and honest conversations that surface as life changes.
This isn't about having it all figured out. It’s about finding perspective, asking better questions, and discovering what it looks like to grow, live with intention, and define (or maybe redefine) success for yourself along the way.
Every episode ends with quick takeaways and one grounding question:
What does success look like to you?
Because the definition of a good life can change—and sometimes the questions we need to ask change with it.
No fluff. Just honest conversations, practical perspective, and a little more clarity for the road ahead.
